Half way point, the fps takes a nose dive and just starts going at like 1 frame per second. No explanation for that. Just going to download the wmv file and watch it that way.

Good, but he doesn't finish Cheetahmen 1 (he gets to level 5), mention that you can get to levels 5 and 6 of Cheetahmen via a cheat or modified rom, or get past the first level of Genesis Cheetahmen... a little disappointing, for such a long episode. What's there is pretty good, but why leave some stuff out? Because all of them involve actually playing more Cheetahmen? Perhaps that's a decent reason, with how awful the games are, but still...

Overall though, I liked the episode a lot even so. Also, Genesis Action 52 looks way better than the NES one, and actually looks like it might actually be worth getting, if it wasn't expensive that is...

It usually takes forever for the "rights" to run out and the videos to go up on his official channel. You could just go and download the video and never look at the site again.

It offends me. Strange I know, but just proves how silly our culture has become imo.

May not make a difference but whatever. It's not like anything on that site is that compelling anyway.

Really? I just don't even bother logging in anymore. I hate achievements too, but it's not like you can't ignore them.

Yeah, when you log in and do something, you'll get "1 GTP" or whatever.

Since I only go there for AVGN videos, it's not a big deal.

That's not the style of AVGN. He plays shitty games, gets mad at them, and curses a lot. We laugh at his pain.

I only go to the site to watch videos. Who cares about Achievements? Just watch the videos and ignore the features you don't need.

Holy shit that video reminded me that Action 52 was one of the few games I had for the Genesis when I was a kid. Actually most of the games I can recall playing on that system are from Action 52, and I thought some of them were the shit.

Anyways good video, can’t believe I enjoyed playing that stuff even as a kid.

They force you to log in to download videos and I'm an AVGN packrat. :lol
That way, if I ever want to watch an older AVGN video, I never have to go to the GT site ever again.

Yup. And they've only been doing that for a year or so. Way back when ScrewAttack first did GT videos, there was no login process at all.

No, he used to actually finish games sometimes... still does occasionally, but not as often as I wish he would.

He seems to finish most of them. Maybe he didn't know about the cheat to get past the level he 'died' at, and he's not using a rom so a modified rom wouldn't matter.

He does reach the end of most of the games he plays, if only so he can shit on the lackluster endings.

Recently, the one he couldn't do was Ninja Gaiden... but that's just understandable.

Yeah, so why didn't he finish either the first NES Cheetahmen or the Genesis game? As for Cheetahmen 2, I doubt he didn't know about the way to get to levels 5 and 6, he recounted the story of how the carts had been found (pretty much), I'd think that if he knew that he'd have known about the way to get to the last few levels either. He's trying to be funny so sometimes he says obviously false things or things he knows are wrong. I'm just saying, he got quite a ways into the first game, he could have finished it up... I think it makes the videos more impressive when despite all the yelling at the game he does he finishes them anyway, like Street Fighter 2010 for example. As for the Genesis game, sure it's hard, but he just didn't seem to care anymore... too much Cheetahmen in too short a time, I guess. :)

I'm not sure I would want to see any more of this filth. The whole point of his videos is to trash shitty games and laugh at his frustrations. Rarely is it about going through an entire game and shitting on all its faults (unless they're really hilarious).

I'd prefer he just take the good bits instead of showing everything cause it can get mundane...honestly, how much more of cheetahmen did you guys REALLY want to see? :p

I enjoyed the episode, I think that was the happiest I've seen him after finishing a game (episode). People seem to always find something to complain about after each release. To hell with that, more AVGN. :D

The endings. :p

(I'll accept the level 4 crash in Cheetahmen 2 as sort of an ending, but that's only sort of one, and that's one game of three.)

True, those games are certainly not any fun to play... but still.

... I just looked up/tried out Genesis Cheetahmen. With savestates it's possible, otherwise it'd just be a game of memorizing all enemy locations. The game has only one map, and only three levels, one with each Cheetahman. The enemy and caged baby Cheetah (what you collect to win the levels) locations vary, and each level ads a few new enemy types, but the actual stage map is the same, it's incredibly short, and all you get for winning is a single screen with "Congratulations, you beat Cheetahmen" or something like that, and you're dumped back to the Action 52 main menu. Oh, and there are still some bugs. Not as many as the first two games, for sure, but they're there.

... Yeah, lazy. Very lazy. And I think it'd have been pretty funny if he'd have beaten level 1 of the game, only to find that level 2... looked exactly the same, apart from enemy and cage locations... :D
