Yeah, she has you do a good amount of "tutorial" stuff but you can get a net/rod if you're missing one and a watering can as well.

You can put them in your room and they make different noises depending on their type and shape, or you can turn them off and just have them on display. You also can sell them, and IIRC they are worth a pretty penny.

But here's a question -- and maybe it's already been answered -- but when can I activate Street Pass? Both me and my wife have copies of the game, as do a few of my co-workers. It'd be nice to be able to swap/receive some stuff!

I found three gyroids today holy crap. They were all buried right next to each other too, this is weird. Okay time for work bleh, silly office job can't even stealth play AXNL due to cubical plus mega busy today.

Yup. I got rained on yesterday. Coincidentally, Able Sisters was selling an umbrella. I know I didn't really need it since nothing happens being in the rain, but I bought it anyways.

It's been raining for 2 days in my town. I don't mind it though, there are fishes that are easier to get when it's raining. Not sure what else it affects though.

So how do you find Gyroids in this? I really want some of them for the house.
Yeah. What effect does rain have? Or is it just an effect?
I bought the game at launch and now they have started appearing on ground. So it takes few days before you can start finding them using shovel.
In the ground. Sometimes you get fossils, sometimes you get gyroids. I just got my first one this morning.
