Sweet.

Im gonna change it back to regular time before I go back to bed, but i was litterally stuck with nothing to do. I just downloaded the game.. so i want to atleast play it! haha

I know that feel man. In the past games I did nothing but time travel during the night, or when there wasn't something in the store I wanted. Finally playing it the right way with AC NL. But let me tell you, that temptation was there when I got at launch during midnight. I was barely strong enough ;_;

I don't know what happened today.

I wandered into a store just to kill some time. I've never owned a handheld console nor even given it a thought - I'd always assumed that portable games are for ADD kids who couldn't handle reading a book on the bus or waiting 5 minutes for something. But a few hours later it's still sinking in: I now own a new 3DS XL and Animal Crossing.

I blame all of you guys in this thread. And the lack of Wii U games.

Don't feel bad. I got the system and game for my partner for his birthday and accidentally forgot I pre-ordered a copy from Amazon eons ago for this same purpose. Friday I picked up the mail to find another copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Now I haven't really played this series since the original Gamecube game but as soon as I found that copy in the mail, rather than acting like a rational person and planning on sending it back, I immediately started thinking about drivng to town to pick up my own 3DS XL.

In fact, I am still contemplating it even though I could just play his.

Hey, can you ever get money out of the piggy bank you get from the post office? Whenever you use it it takes 1 bell from your wallet, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get it back.

Yeah, I'm rationalising it as a birthday present for my girlfriend but deep down I know I bought it for myself (don't worry, I got her proper gifts too :P). It's like there's some crazy One Ring attraction going on.

I kept seeing neat looking bugs suddenly fly out of trees I bumped into, so I've started bopping random trees with my bug net in hopes of catching one off guard. Is there a better way of doing this?

Entering and leaving International island until one understands me :lol

Oh, gotcha. Can you register eachother as friends on the island? (Look at me, learning things about New Leaf!)
All I get from International Island are a bunch of antisocial people. :I
And people who scare off sharks and beetles as I'm catching them. Maybe I'm doing it too early.

Well, you share your FCs on the island (I take pictures of their #s with my phone) and leave island to input and then visit posthaste.

the only hidden bugs are spiders that pop out when you shake the trees - the rest just rest on the trunk - walk more slowly and you should see them before they get spooked

^ Basically this.

I was having the same problem but found them much easier to catch on the island. Some fo the bugs blend into the trunk really well so you might not notice them as much.

Ah, thanks you two. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled, then.

Does the catalogue that allows you to purchase any item that you've ever had in your inventory from Nook still exist in this game?
