Otherwise, head to the coast and fish for Coelacanths.
Also, enjoy the amazing rain-versions of the usual music.

You can catch Coelacanths in the sea! Very rare fish.
Tomorrow you'll find Gyroids in the ground, too.

you can catch coelecanth if you fish on the beach while its raining if you're lucky
Go Fishing, rainy days means greater chances of catching the coelacanth, plus you might get a shark or 3.
Get a piece of customizable furniture, then have him customize it with the ore to make it into a gaudy thing.

You either have to try until you find one or use this list. Looks like a lot of sets can be customized.
You can customize without ore too.

Just started the game! Of course it's at night, so everything is closed right now. One of my neighbors was asleep so I can't even finish saying hi to them all! And of course I can't buy any tools or sell anything. Also, Redd's tent is like the only thing open, tempting me with its (probably counterfeit) paintings. Is he a little more frequent at least in this game, so I don't feel so bad about being unable to utilize his services tonight?

Also bring in some native fruit. One game they play has them purchase an item of yours. A good chunk of my oranges were sold for 1.5K a pop.

They never seemed to water my flowers that often, but then again I watered mine every morning early on. Do they auto water any dying flowers with that ordinance though?
