Oh, sorry. Not too long - around 15-20 minutes. Most of it was probably spent trying to make the collar in the front look like something other than pixellated rubbish.

Nooooo way. I have been working on an Arsenal jersey and a French national team jersey and they both look like total shit. Even with the design going through the paint by numbers website---I cannot match the numbers to the colors!

I didn't use the website, which may be why it was so quick. I just drew it all up in the game itself. I'll try to work you up an Arsenal shirt as soon as I finish fishing. Any particular player you'd like on it?

Get tools from Isabelle, get 100% approval rating, make bells, donate stuff to the museum, pay off your tent and expand to house, etc.

Most of the stuff will be in your catalogue (unlocked after the first expansion of the Nookling's store) and you can re-order the item from it so it's safe to sell. You can't order special items, though. That includes fortune cookie items, some DLC items and some furniture sets. The catalogue will tell you if you can order it again or not (so when in doubt, keep it or google until you get the catalogue lol)
As for alternates, you can have 4 characters in your town including the mayor. You also need to unlock the QR machine with every character (in case you were going to use QR codes for the paths)
Well, that is very nice of you. Giroud would be cool. Only if you have the time, though. I don't want to be a bother.
Planted all my fruit earlier, Isabelle says my town needs more green, lol.

I don't think the approval rating part is right. Seems like it would be very tough to do that on the first day like I did.

I found the styraco torso I needed to complete my mini-fossil! Now I have a nice, compact model of a styracosaurus in my ranch room. =)

I thought the same for a while, then I caught one.
It's near the waterfall that connects the river to the ocean.
It might be a bit before the waterfall, or it might be right under the waterfall.
Keep at it. Honestly I wasn't even looking for one and just noticed a fish near the waterfall.
I got lucky. The first time I checked the waterfall for it, it was there. :O
