Animal Crossing Pocket Camp shutting down

Before you get upset, Nintendo will release an offline end-of-life version where you can transfer your save file and continue playing the seven year old game. No villagers will be lost.
Now give them a big hand for doing game preservation.

Honestly shocking. They should try doing this for everything on their sub service too.

Huh, interesting. I wonder if they will bother to make all of the seasonal content available to get again in this offline version or if that will be lost forever.

Worth mentioning that the offline version will be a paid version and not a f2p download.
Note that we are currently developing a paid version of the app to which you will be able to transfer your save data. It will be released during the same period as the end of service for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
Not sure if that was obvious or not from the headline. It’s nice that they’re even bothering with this though.

this is what Namco should have done with Ridge Racer Slipstream.
because that game, if turned into a paid version with microtransactions removed, would have been a really good mobile Ridge Racer game.

as it stands the only way to play games like that are modded APK filed you find on shady sites
