Maaya Sakamoto for life. Also if you haven't seen Escaflowne you need to. The concept sounds tepid, but the story, animation, characters, music (by Yoko Kanno) is all great.

Also the Outlaw Star opening is so energetic and exciting, just like the show.

Yeah can't you tell? Everyone's nostalgic about Attack on Titan! Seriously half of the anime openings in here are recent and the other half is just awesome openings that happened to air a long time ago. But I'm sure it's nostalgia *rolls eyes*

While a lot of good anime have good opening songs, there's also a lot of good anime that have absolutely terrible songs. Dunno if there's terrible anime with good opening, because I don't watch terrible anime.

Trigun's intro is my favourite. It also happens to be one of my favourite anime. S-Cry-Ed's opening is superb as well, probably my favourite one with lyrics. Dunno if they've been linked, but here they are.

Surprising anime. Really silly most of the time (I can't believe I kept watching it past the first couple of episodes) yet one of the best endings I've seen.

Also, as a counter point I would like to mention a show called Rinne No Lagrange. It had one of the best Ops I've ever seen, but it is an utterly garbage show.

Naruto OP5 has always stuck with me

I've always wondered -- some of the Naruto OPs have this really slick animation and a visual style that's separate from the show. Is there another studio that does some of them or anything like that?
