Not sure who is interested, but the new Mobile suit gundam series has been shown on a trailer... as brief as it may be.

U.C. 0097, one year after the opening of "Laplace's Box." Despite the revelation of the Universal Century Charter that acknowledges the existence and rights of Newtypes, the framework of the world has not been greatly altered.

The conflict later dubbed the "Laplace Incident" is thought to have ended with the downfall of the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves. In its final battle, two full psycho-frame mobile suits displayed power beyond human understanding. The white unicorn and the black lion were sealed away to remove this danger from people's consciousness, and they should now be completely forgotten.

However, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03, which disappeared two years earlier, is now about to show itself in the Earth Sphere once more. A golden phoenix... named Phenex.

I loved the unicorn series, so i'll definitely be checking this out.

Castlevania season 2 is good.
Some will say better than season 1.

First 3 episodes or so are super boring but after that it becomes much more enjoyable.
There's that and the quality is a bit inconsistent but the good parts far outweigh the bad parts.

Makes me look forward to season 3.

Caught up with Seven Deadly Sins now that it's on Netflix.
At some point they should release "The Seven Deadly Sin Kai" which is the exact same thing but taking out every scene with the pig. It would instantly make the show a lot better.

Its not anime reeeeeeeeeee

I enjoyed it but seemed really rushed towards the end there

they made the feminist vamp just to push for a third season imo when a third season wasn't even needed

Series is rated ages 15 and up, yet the violence is definitely ages 18 and up. But omitting the extra body details of the vampire makes the erotic content for ages 12, if not lower. So there you have the average 15 years rating. At least add her but even her would stir controversy....

350

I watched episode 5 and till now it was all talk and dialog. Season 1 had so many fights, humor and action scenes from the beginning. Even if they make up for it, damage has already been done

I've never been much of a fan of SAO, but watching the first couple eps of the new series got me really interested, so I decided to give the source material a read. Unfortunately I really did not care for the way the plot went after reading like 6 volumes of the current arc.

How's "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"? i want to read an Older Brother/Younger Sister manga that isn't incestuous,

From what I've heard from 99% of anime fans, is Sao is a abomination of shit anime.
It is.

The abridged version on YouTube is pretty fun though

Haven't read that but sengoku youko has some of that (tough it goes into another direction around the mid point) and is pretty fun. It's from the same guy that made Lucifer and the biscuit hammer

I never watched SAO, but a lot of people just hate it, almost as much as 3D berserk

Yeah it is. But I really like the setting/premise of the story. But the writing is just so bad. When I first tried watching SAO, the idea of people being trapped in a VR world where if they die in the game they die in real life sounded really interesting, but it's just garbage. Likewise the story of the current series really grabbed me, but when you actually read it, yeah.

Anyone else planning to get the berserk deluxe edition coming out next year? Here it is
I started collecting berserk in France years ago but stopped but I'll be getting this nice HC edition as it comes out. I'm a sucker for these.

The more important question is when Berserk 40 will be available in English.
I am currently reading Berserk Max 19 and after that I only have Berserk 39 and 40 left. I am so sad.... Been reading an issue every 2 weeks throughout the year to drag this moment out as much as possible. Can't believe it's here now.

Your pain is just starting, I went through all hiatus for the past 10 years. Plus HxH and Vagabond, it's tough :p

Yeah, I can feel it. So you know how long it usually takes for a translation? Berserk 40 was released a month ago already yet I wasn't able to find an English version of it anywhere.

I mean typically there is a gap of almost a year between the japanese tankobon release and the english version. You can find translated versions of the chapters online though.

Started watching it due to controversies around it and while I'm typically ok with gruesome violence (Berserk and Ubel Blatt are some of my favourites) the brutality feels a bit off due to lighter tone of the series. Still I'll reserve judgment as I'm just on episode 2 and as Madoka taught me you can't judge anime too early ;)

BTW what's the deal with Fate Last Encore - it felt really weird for Fate franchise and I'm not sure how it fits into it at all and that distorted drawing style was really putting me off .

It is trash. The show substitutes substance with edgy nonsense just to fill the screen. The animation is pretty sub par too. Dark Fantasy is usually pretty cool but this is pretty lame.
The first episode was pretty edgy but it doesn't even come close to something like Berserk. The rest of the episodes were pretty normal. I do agree the animation looks really weird, especially when they use CGI

Watched a few eps of Goblin slayer, I can't stand that female priest. Other then that I don't know what is so great about it. People are talking how great it is. It seems like people have never watched other animes like this before, like Berserk, Guyver, or any blood and gore anime. The main character is just a typical tough guy with 0 personality.

im also guessing why not as many people are watching Baki 2018, since its only on Netflix and free anime streaming sites. Right now Baki 2018 is a lot better then goblin slayer.

I am waiting for Baki to get released here on Netflix. I also did that with 7 deadly Sins season 2. Sadly it will probably take some time until it gets released here.

Not available for streaming on Netflix in the US currently it seems. Added it to my watchlist so I'll know when it becomes available.

Only Netflix Japan has these with adding a new episode each week. We in the west will get it a few month after the series is finished.....

I read the series director passed away during production and laterepisodes after the middle were not as good. I did not like the ending that much compared to the rest of the series.

I watched all of the Tomino Gundams and some of the newer ones, but stopped at Seed and Destiny. A guy advised me that if I watched the 80s Gundams, I'd find Destiny a chore. Besides, I had watched Fafner before and had enough of that character design.

I haven't been into anime for a long time but when I watched it my favorite was Haibane Renmei. It was a very peaceful show and I liked the soundtrack.

I hope both of you have watched Gundam 0080: War In The Pocket. I'm not a fan of Gundam having watched a few episodes from random series here and there but 0080 was really great. Just 6 episode long too.

0080 was probably the best Gundam I watched. Liked Victory Gundam too, which had also a young protagonist. Best mecha with kids is Vifam, where Tomino was also involved

I'm read up through volume 15 of the regular releases right now. Usually buy them three at a time, so this actually is not much more expensive.

The leather with the Brand looks so much better though.

It is only $40 on Amazon right now. Hmm. . .might get it.

It's also a bigger size to appreciate Miura's art even better ;)

Watched an episode of Rurouni Kenshin on Netflix and it surprised me negatively that in all the episodes they removed the next episode previews after the end credits.
This is one reason to drop their version altogether and watch a DVD rip instead. Previews are an important part of the atmosphere and narrative, even more than the OP/ED. At least they kept the Cowboy Bebop previews

random but has anyone got any decent sports anime they can recommend?

I really want something that's finished I can sink my teeth into that's sports.

I've already seen prince of tennis and eyeshield 21 and days and many others... but looking for something else now...

I heard there's a badminton anime out there that's meant to be really good, but I can't find out what it's called...

FYI I am watched hinomoru zumou ... it's just taking (what feels like) a while for each episode to come out...
