Eh, what the hell. I can cancel if I need to.

Rewatched Code Geass now that it's on Netflix.
It holds up pretty well and despite having several of the usual cliches (high school setting, teen boy gets superpowers, childhood friend on the other side of the conflict, etc) it definitely manages to feel unique and different thanks both to Lelouch not being a generic Shonen main character and some interesting plot developments.
The ending does feel kinda rushed though.
And I just found out there's going to be a sequel movie next year so I guess it's good I got a refresher on the story
The changed the story a bit for the sequel. They repackaged the modified story into 3 recap movies.
Yeah I read that.
Biggest change seems to be that. Which is weird as it's a pretty mejor change and a big turning point for Lelouch in the original show. It also sort of makes this more of an alternative/parallel/What if ending rather than a true sequel which is disappointingShirley is still alive
Have You seen Crunchyroll most popular Anime in both Americas?

USA (by state)
Canada
Central and South America
Pretty amazing result
It's not even close to that. At least there is nothing alluding to this being the plot twist... just yet as far as the tv show goes(haven't read the manga). I would recommend watching the first episode. It is def a show that you will know if you want to continue after watching it.So cuba are the only one on my side of the continent that know whats up lol.
Anyway, Goblin Salyer any good? looks like yet another "trapped in a fantasy world" show

Most shows I need like 2-3 episodes before I determine if I want to watch more.
It's ok. I think a lot of people get drawn in by how 'dark' the first episode is, but the rest of the episodes of been pretty tame, let's go kill goblins! type of stuff.Anyway, Goblin Salyer any good? looks like yet another "trapped in a fantasy world" show
im also guessing why not as many people are watching Baki 2018, since its only on Netflix and free anime streaming sites. Right now Baki 2018 is a lot better then goblin slayer.
I sent you a link with all the eps, since crunchyroll isn't streaming it. It takes place right after the baki 2001 anime. Baki 2018 is basically season 3 of the anime seriesSeason 1 of Baki will be on netflix UK the 18th of december I just saw.
I will give it a go it looks like something I would enjoy.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I cannot believe I dropped anime/manga after my teens in favor of the US TV show. That stuff blows in comparison. Been having such an amazing time year.
- Read all of Berserk throughout the year (best story/characters I read in my life... and it ended in the most gruesome way, fucking Miura, lol)
- Read all of the available Attack on Titan manga (been amazing overall aside from the part that is covered with season 2 of the anime)
- Now in the midst of Slam Dunk (prolly one of the most amazing things I've ever read, great characters and the humor makes my cry to tears)
- Now in episode 74 of One Piece which has been an up and down for me. Still not sure what to think of it. Holing out until Alabasta arc and if I don't fully dig it by then I might drop it in favor of Detective Conon.
- Rewatched all of Dragon Ball and midway through Sayajin saga. Loooooovvvvvvveeeeeing it. BluRay quality is amazing!
Thanks to all for the tipps earlier this year. It's been a while since I was rooting that much with a stories characters.
Already can't wait to dig into Vagabond and Vinland saga. Might also switch to the manga with One Piece instead of the anime. Dunno.
Thanks man. Added to them my Manga Rock favourites. God know when I'll finally get to read them. Feels like I'm thrown into an ocean. lolNice going, I used to watch a ton of anime in my teens too but I never dropped reading mangas.
I still don't watch many anime but once in a while something grabs my attention.
You're reading some amazing ones to be fair.
By the way here are some of my recommendation then (only finished mangas so you don't pile up ongoing series):
- Nausicaa
- Yuyu Hakusho
- Gunnm (Battle Angel Alita) (Before the movie hits)
- GTO
- Hikaru No Go
- Saint Seiya (for some old school Shonen)
- Sanctuary (Best Yakuza manga imo)

I watched Rurouni Kenshin up to the samurai who used light to blind him then got bored of it. That arc was completely boring.

.hack existsYeah it is. But I really like the setting/premise of the story. But the writing is just so bad. When I first tried watching SAO, the idea of people being trapped in a VR world where if they die in the game they die in real life sounded really interesting, but it's just garbage. Likewise the story of the current series really grabbed me, but when you actually read it, yeah.
Were they trapped in the vr in .hack? I can't remember..hack exists
Hey petran79 I love your recommendation list. I haven't read most of these mangas but I remember having a great time with Billy Bat. Vinland Saga is in my top 10 mangas, it still delivers consistently to this day.
I also remember 3x3 Eyes, though I haven't read much of it; it was published in a short-lived French magazine in the late 90s. But it really was something and had a "90s" feel to it that I don't think can be found in current mangas. I wonder what the author is up to.
Have you read Battle Angel Alita (original title is Gunnm)? It's a sci-fi masterpiece, still going on to this day. The live movie that's coming out soon barely scratches the surface of BAA's world and characters.
Thanks. Of course this was all read in a span of 13 years. Prefer reading few but good titles.
I had read Battle Angel Alita and sequel Last Order . Unforgettable experience too. Was browsing Gotlurk and its irc channel back then and would read whatever listed recommendations were available. Mangaupdates lists Last Order as finished in 19 volumes. Or is it on hiatus?
Yeah, I haven't read too many mangas either, though I've been a fan of the medium for over twenty years.
Last Order does end with volume 19. The author is working now on Mars Chronicle, a new arc (or saga if you will) that focuses on Alita's past and the events on planet Mars. The pacing is slow but I'd say Kishiro hasn't lost his edge.
You can just watch the 2001 ver then 2018. Since 2018 takes place right after it.
Yujiro doesn't care about anything but being the best fighter. The only reason he had a kid is to keep the bloodline alive.Finished season 1 of Baki. I liked it, maybe a bit slow paced but the fighting is good. Yujiro is getting a worst dad award from me!
Will start season 2 soon but I am more excited about the 2018 version with a more modern animation.

The OVA (OAV?) serires isn't as grating. And you get the cute tamago song which isn't on youtube for some odd reason.I watched the first 24 episodes of Ah My goddess. If I ever have to h
ear "Belldandy. BELLDADY!" followed by ARE YOU OK OMG?! I am Ichi the Killer-ifying my fucking ears. that shit is so fucking annoying.
