Another Star Wars Prequel?

"George Lucas said he was finished with the Star Wars movies, but it seems George Lucas has an idea for another add-on to the Star Wars movie series: a prequel to The Phantom Menace. The story would follow the Jedi regaining control of the universe from the many Dark Lords some 88 years before Anakin Skywalker ever graced the universe. Yoda, who, according to Lucas, was instrumental in the effort, would apparently have a headlining role. However, Lucas, now age 60, says he won't be captaining such a ship if it ever happens."

Yes. We need more. It's so addictive. :)

Boo! Someone should do a trilogy out of KOTOR I.(Someone being anyone other than Lucas... ok, maybe not Uwe Boll, but someone with talent)

Wow, then it might actually be worth seeing!

Maybe instead of banning catchphrases, the mods and impose a moratorium on people who still think making "Lucas sucks" posts in SW topics is high comedy

Or they could do the tasteful thing and ban people that think he farts gold.

George Lucas needs to bacl away from Star Wars. If anything he should write the story, then get someone else to do the script. And then let Robert Rodreguiz to direct it.

I don't think it's high comedy. I think it's the truth. (when it comes to writing anyway).

Star Wars Episode 0
Gathering of the Midichlorians

:lol To me the Midichlorians were the absolute worst thing that happened to the Star Wars universe. In the beginning the force was this mystical force that surrounds us and is in everything. Now, its a little bug that lives inside the blood.

This is good news, if true. In an interview I saw of Lucas after AOTC came out, he said that he had no plans of making another movie nor allowing anyone else to make one.

He must have had a change of mind.

Replace Tribes with Star Wars.

This cartoon is inappropriate to this discussion. If Episode III hadn't made $339M worldwide in less than a week, it might be appropriate. But the box office success CLEARLY shows that there is still interest in Star Wars.

The milking the cow picture is, however, apropos.

Yes, let's censor ideas too. If you don't agree with someone and feel the need to post it, then you should be banned. Anyone who thinks Lucas sucks should be banned!

In a way, he's just like those PT haters that go watch the newer PT movies because they know they'll hate it. :D

Oh please. That was the least of the problems with the PT.

I wrote this on another forum:

Personally, the midichlorians take nothing away from the Force. It still is mystical, there is no explanation why it works the way it does, only that we need the midis to do it, and that we can gauge Force strength from it. It's like knowing that there is blood(or it's equivalent) in the Star Wars universe and that some how demystifies the Force. Without blood there could be no Force, for blood is necessary to have life. The Midis are just an extra connection to the Force.

That's all the midichlorians are, they don't explain jackshit otherwise.

Anyway, he should just stop. We don't need another movie. If he wants to explore that story, add it to the TV series.

So the whole Star Wars Universe revolves every 50 years? Sounds like the end of Jedi, then rolls around to start all over again.

The fact that I know my eyes are made of "rods" and "cones" doesn't make sight any less impressive.

This was probably just PR BS, but didn't he say recently that he saw Star Wars as "The Darth Vader Story," hence why it starts and ends with him?

Bah. Some people already see Phantom Menace as pretty useless and unrelated, so unless they really REACH for the cameos, or actually figure out a good core cast that's interesting, I don't know how they'd pull that off successfully.

Chili Con Carnage!
Im sure its fake but it shouldnt be.

Star Wars is such a fantasic unvierse and so much has happened besides the Vader saga. It'd be a shame if none of it was ever captured on big screen again.

People just arent coming up with sci-fi universes people are interested in at the moment and we have a perfectly good one (probably the best ever, suck it trekkies) sitting here doing nothing but some shitty (probably) TV spin-off.

Not really. If you replace Tribes with Star Wars as was first suggested, you wind up with SW III, IV, and V, arguably the top 3 movies in the series, imho. (Not in that order.)

COCKLES

being watched
We need a movie with a young Han Solo and Lando pimping across the universe, bedding ladies in the Falcon.

Whether he writes it, directs it, or has any part in it...you all know you'll see it regardless just so you can bash it or praise it.

Let's wait another 10yrs to give virtual actors time to catch up - no way I want the Classic Trilogy's actors' old asses in it.

Give me Mara Jade!!!!

They have novels and video games cartoons and comic books that are separate from the movies (ep I-VI) I don't see why certain novels can't be optioned for screenplays or even originals written that exist in the same universe...maybe night of the old republic style would be cool. It could run forever like James Bond!
