Saw it last night in IMAX 3D. Definitely the funniest Marvel movie so far, once the jokes started rolling I couldn't stop laughing. The visuals are totally unique and creative, and there's one particular scene that uses 3D in the most convincing way I've ever seen, even though I don't normally like seeing movies in 3D. It's one of the best ones, no doubt.

Micheal Pena's flashbacks had me ROLLING.

The edits and cuts to each person just added to the hilarity.

So, without spoilers, will I understand both credits scenes knowing that I've seen all the other MCU movies? Or are they super obscure comic things?

LOVED IT. It was very funny (and good funny, not IM3 funny). I thought after Edgar left things wouldn't be as good as I hoped but it was awesome.

Paul Rudd really did good on this one. Luis was indeed a scene stealer and a big part of the movie, the Stan Lee cameo was amazing.

Jesus! The guy hit's his wife, once....ONCE and everyone calls him a wife beater.

Read the comics.

... How many times DO you have to hit your wife before you're allowed to call them a wife beater?

Anyway, that was ages ago, but fair or not it's what people remember. It was one of the lowest moments of any superhero and it wasn't something Pym pulled himself out of until years and years later... kinda. Barely.

... Scott Lang is a better Ant-Man, by far.

Anyway, seeing the film later tonight!

Basically nothing stops this train!

missing a gem is kind of a big deal
edit : uh, unless the head light is supposed to be one

I've really never been able to warm up to Scott in the books until the most recent run.

Cassie was always the best thing about him to me. Rudd was a good pick for sure though.

Saw it last night with my 11-year-old son, who laughed almost the entire time. It's in my Top 3 Marvel movies, too, alongside GoG and Winter Soldier.

It crazy how good this film turned out, considering its troubled production history. If you told someone several months ago that Ant-Man would be a better film than Age of Ultron they'd think you were insane.

I feel like AoU is getting the DKR treatment on gaf without ever going through a honeymoon period :-P

It's ridiculous. I found it a much more rounded experience than the 1st. People clutch with straws at the damn thing.

"There's no threat in the third act of Marvel movies"

"YOU KILLED QUICKSILVER WTF D00D"

Enjoyed this a bunch. Rudd really did well as Ant-Man. I like that these other Marvel movies (GotG, Daredevil, Ant-Man) don't have to deal with the weight of the main Avengers storyline.

One of the better parts of the movie. His stuff was usually hilarious. Surprised the hell out of me.
I cracked up when TI and him showed up at the house in the van.
"Back it up."
Another thing I forgot that I liked about the movie: Judy Greer was in it! I love Judy Greer and did not know or maybe didn't remember that she had been cast for this.

I loved the film! I'd also recommend seeing it in 3D because it adds a lot to the already cool effects. I normally don't like 3D and have avoided them for years but glad I went for it this time.

Saw it, loved it. Michael Pena is destined to make cameo appearances in every single MCU movie from now on, but Douglas is the one who holds the film together - the definition of perfect casting. Looking forward to having Rudd play off everyone else in Civil War.

Weirdly, after all the speculation, it's surprisingly easy to spot what made Edgar Wright leave production.

If you're on the fence, I highly recommend it. It takes its time getting going, but once it does it doesn't let up.

I reiterate what I thought on the mexican guy - annoying outside of his "tips". When he's in "tips" mode he becomes like a god.

Really? funnier than GOTG?

I have a hard time believing this

Seeing it tonight, so we'll see

Ehh, while I like GotG the humor does feel a bit off when it tries "human" humor on aliens. It mixes well more in Ant-Man.
