Oh wow awesome ugh can't wait. I usually tend to agree with schmoe knows guys so that's great to hear
Man, its times like these that I really regret that licensed movie video games seem to be a thing of the past. When was the last time Marvel had a game released for its properties on a console? Those Lego titles?
I'd take no games over a flood of shitty licensed games like we used to get.Man, its times like these that I really regret that licensed movie video games seem to be a thing of the past. When was the last time Marvel had a game released for its properties on a console? Those Lego titles?
Man I hope it blow up the BO if it's really that good, even if that would guarantee a few months of salty posts
CLiff notes..since its gone now..
Basically they said they loved it, Really funny (But not that forced funny) but also great action sequences. They didn't really have much to nitpick about it. Said they felt it was right up there with Mad Max as the best movie of the summer. They said it all ties in together nicely..That it felt connected to the larger MCU, without MCU mentions being forced into it. One guy says this is favorite solo movie since Iron man (I think?) The other guy says this is up there with GOTG/TWS in regards to how much he liked it.
The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 games, but Capcom's contract for the Marvel license expired about a year ago. Could they (in theory) renew it, certainly. The only problem is that Capcom isn't exactly in a financial position to afford whatever the current cost of the Marvel license is. Which is a shame because we may not see MvC4 for another 10 years when it could be a perfect companion game for one of the Infinity War movies. This may be a different story if Street Fighter V sells like hotcakes, but we don't know right nowMan, its times like these that I really regret that licensed movie video games seem to be a thing of the past. Probably closer to TWS than GotG (260mil vs 330mil domestic). If it's really good I hope it does as well as the Cap movies. I think Iron Man level performance is way too high and Thor performance would be low. I think it will end up in the ballpark of TWS/GOTG if it is as good as early impressions indicate. People love Rudd.
On-topic, can someone link me to the Schmoes Know review?

I hope so. AoU left something to be desired in regards to almost everything. So are most people guessing this will have a higher RT rating then Age of Ultron? The smaller scale and more focused narrative seems to complement the film well.
Ant-Man is the first Marvel movie I can 100% call an outright “family film” as well as being a top-notch superhero movie, a comedy, and a heist film. The parental themes, and the narratives about children in pain from the loss of parents, drive the entire story and drive all of the main characters’ arcs, even the villain’s.
Marvel has done it again, and Ant-Man is among my favorite of the Marvel Studios films. It’s delightfully unexpected in its willingness to scale down, yet in doing so shows us how remarkable and important the smaller things in life truly are, after all.
Here we go..Forbes with its Review up:
Possible Spoilers, as I have not read the entire review:

Forbes Contributor, people. Come on, it's 2015 people. This is like a blog.
And what? I'm guessing that Forbes at least Vetted people who contribute on their website. You are making it sound like this guy just created a blog and posted his thoughts on it.
That's exactly what it is.
Not trying to bust balls or anything, but over on Gaming Side these things come up all the time and expectations have to be set. They do not work for Forbes.
I think it just means we there is going to be another official ant Man review from for Forbes

It's not Forbes' review, so attributing it as "Forbes with its Review up" is not accurate. It's not "The Forbes Review." This is Mark Hughes' review on his Forbes contributor blog, who according to his byline writes about super hero movies. That doesn't mean it's not worthwhile to share in the thread, but just credit it properly so people have the correct context.
Anyone know what time the Embargo is up?

There are a gazillion licensed games, luckily they are all on mobile devices.Man, its times like these that I really regret that licensed movie video games seem to be a thing of the past. When was the last time Marvel had a game released for its properties on a console? Those Lego titles?
I really hope that this is more entertaining than the trailers suggest.

Read the opening summary and concluding paragraph to avoid any plot points; sound very positive, particularly in how it is contrasted against the rather bloated AoU. Looking good.
