Come get your delicious schadenfreude. Some choice quotes.

Erick Erickson said:
I don’t want to congratulate Hillary Clinton on winning the Presidency tonight, but she just did.

Ben Howe said:
He can drop out if he wants, Donald. The rest of us will still be working to defeat you all the way to November.

Ben Shapiro said:
You're a conspiratorial piece of progressive refuse with fewer brain cells than your average supporter has teeth.

Got one dude in there burning his voter registration card...

Not a big sacrifice when you live in DC, HEYOOOOOOOOOO it's funny because they don't have representation.

Dc has electoral votes. Unless you meant how they always go to the dem side.

I know people are enjoying the implosion of the GOP, but I really do hope there is some genuine self reflection.

Not all Conservatives have contributed to the hateful rhetoric that's enabled people like Trump to prosper. Their party has been hijacked by radicals and it's sad.

Are you talking about self-reflection by the members of the GOP who helped shove the party off this cliff, or the people like me who are reveling in the schadenfreude of said implosion?

That party has been held together by hate. Not everyone is a hateful asshole, but they've sure as hell had no problem voting for hateful assholes until someone came out and stopped using dogwhistles to signal their hate.

It wasn't hijacked, someone just decided to be honest with the views the party has had on a slow burn over the past few decades.

I wonder if the Dems get pulled right a bit via an influx of centrists over the next 2 years or so.

Nation quickly moving left, but it could temper things slightly in a not-so-obvious way.

Who's gonna do the self-reflecting? John Boehner? Paul Ryan? Ted Cruz? The Republican party is Trump now.

This is a true statement in 2016 with Trump (and Cruz), 2008 with the Tea Party, and all the way back to 1980 with Reagan. It all depends on your perspective really. The Republican Party has been increasingly radicalizing for nearly 40 years at this point.

people are confusing the Republican Base with the Republican apparatus

the Establishment of the Party is not in sync with Republican Base or leaning Republicans

Not like this, Huntsman. Not like this.

Huntsman and Bloomberg were my top two "my vote for President doesn't matter since my state isn't competitive, so I can cast a write-in instead of voting for the two options without consequence and then get to voting in the remaining races" toothless protest choices.

Welp. So much for that.

Are these republicans upset?

I mean this is what they've supported all these years, Trump just bought it up to the surface
Right? I'm sitting here thinking, this is what put you over the edge? I guess they preferred their party's bigotry and regressiveness to be latent. Donald Trump is the logical conclusion and culmination of all the ridiculous rhetoric and policy pushed by Republicans over the last few decades.

Leave it to Ben fucking Shapiro to harp on Trump for being a "progressive"

god that dude is such fucking trash.

Boo hoo Pubs are pissed someone they can't control is the nominee boo hoo.

They don't give a shit about his policies. All they care about is that he (for now) doesn't give a shit about theirs.

We'll see. My aunt and uncle were Kasich supporters, and they despise Trump. More importantly the Clinton smears haven't worked. Oh they don't like her, but they don't think she's a criminal she-demon. And they HATE Trump

lots of people have strong opinions UNTIL they're alone behind that voting booth
