I understand what you're saying but I love shooting my 1911. Its my show piece as well as my favorite one to shoot. I enjoy cleaning her up.

I guess when you've fired a m2, m240b, m19 pistols just come down to what's simple, at least for me. Plus I shoot my father's 45 long colt every once in a while. God damned fireball slinger.

M2 can be if you don't know how to put it back together and set the headspace and time. Same with m19. 240b is actually easier than the 249

Never worked with a 240b, before my time (they just started to be used by infantry as I left), but the M60 was a pain in the arse, as was the 249 from memory. 240 looks heavy as shit to carry.

Finally got an Aimpoint Micro T-1 and Magpul MS4 sling for my AR.

I'll contribute. Here is my newest firearm. I got rid of my Springfield XD to get this.

Super jelly - I love my 75, so the SP01 is near the top of my 'I want' list, but it's sort of hard to justify with another steel full-size 9mm CZ in the safe. I'm trying to find a P09 chambered in .40 now - in my head it's just different enough from the 75 to warrant a purchase, particularly since it'd be my first plastic gun. :p

I'm considering the same P01 in .40 also for a carry gun. I would like to have a polymer and steel gun in each of the three calibers I have, 9mm, .40 & .45. But I just put this baby together so I'm going to hold off on gun purchases for this year (I think).

She'll be finished this weekend because as you can see she's missing a really important part lol. But I'm breaking her in on Saturday!

It's Alive!!!!!

Del-Ton Mid Length Upper with 1:9 twist and CMV barrel, Anderson MFG lower, CMMG lower parts kit, Magpul MBUS rear sight and Tactical Intent mil-spec buffer tube. Saturday will be the virgin voyage for her and I can't want to pop it!!

Still going to change out the handguard and grip because that generic grip feels atrocious but she's complete now and ready to go.

That is hawt. I've been looking at the Saiga or Vepr for the longest. Where did you pick her up?

I enjoy my VEPR. I don't mind the extra weight, but it's not like I hunt with the thing.

Picked it up at my local gunshop, just happened to get a fresh shipment in. What sucks is the damned 10rd magazine limit in NY. Now I gotta order 23472394872394 magazines so I can hit the range w/o spending half my time reloading. Grabbed 5 this morning. Should be here next week. ^.^

My new CZ came in today. It's not quite as comfortable in the hand as my 75, but nothing really is:
Gorgeous. My P07 Duty is still my personal favorite, though I have med-small hands. As nice as the 75 is to shoot, I can never get the right grip with it to be accurate.

What caliber? Ive been checking prices and 223 is around 6 while 54r is around 900. I love the reliability and accuracy of the vepr

Nice. I'm in Louisiana so I've been looking at different options. The 762x39 can be missed to accept ak mags which would drop the price significantly.

Thanks. :) Have you tried the aluminum grips for the 75? They're significantly thinner than most of the other options and give it the 'flat-sided' feel of the P-07/09. I've got the grooved Hogue wraparounds on mine currently and they pretty much complete the gun for me, with just enough bulk under the palms.

Would anyone know a good guide online on how to properly sight a scope? Going to be shooting at either 25,50,100 yards depending on which range I go to.

On a bolt gun, mount the optic, set the rifle on a rucksack or sled, take the bolt out, look through the bore, then look through the optic and adjust it to match the through-bore sight picture. Same idea for anything else. Use your sights to get a general idea of point of impact, then adjust the optic until you're in the ballpark. Then dial it in with three-shot groups.

It's a Robinson VEPR K 7.62x39. When I got it, I was considering it as a pig gun. I've had it for some time. I'm pretty sure it will outlast me. I don't think Robinson imports them any more, though, but if you can find one with a low round count, it's awful hard to fuck up.

You can still bore sight an AK (i'm assuming this is your just-procured Saiga), but it's a little tricky. Most people who don't want to waste their time will buy a laser. Try this if you go the laser route. I do it with a dental mirror, and just find a light or a stop sign or something else conspicuous. I don't know if you have the irons sighted in already or if your scope mount covers the irons or not, but if it's a side mount and you're sighted in on the irons, you can also simply compare the picture you see over the irons and through your scope. It will give you enough to get on paper and you can walk it in from there.

If this isn't your Saiga and you're asking me how to sight in a bolt rifle or an AR... just pull the damn bolt and tell me you're asking about your Saiga anyway so that I don't lose any respect for you. ;)

Haha, yea I'm asking for the Saiga. I'm itching to get the to the range again and have some fun. Thanks!

So one of my brother's friends has a CZ52 that he doesn't want and is offering it up for free. The bore's a bit dark, but otherwise it looks tip-top. I think I'm going to give him some cash for it just because, but I'm definitely adding this funky roller-locked gun to the collection.

EDIT: Here it is (2nd clockwise from top-right) with the rest of my current handgun collection:

I can finally say my first AR is finished now. I do plan on adding a flashlight and possibly a foregrip or the Magpul AFG but for right now I'm done buying the accessories for her.

What's GAF's general concensus on poly lowers?

I've been eyeing this deal for a while:

http://www.slickguns.com/product/co...ontier-complete-lower-and-ptac-complete-upper

I think it would a be a great start for a kit gun. What do you guys think?

I would steer clear of Palmetto State right now. They're shipping is atrocious to say the least. Go to their Facebook page and you'll see people who haven't received their shipping after months of placing their order. As far as the polymer lower, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I haven't heard anything bad about polymer lowers. Give it a shot.

What are people's opinions on an AR case?

For what purposes? What kind of AR? More than one?

I store my AR in a full-length, foam lined plastic case it came in from the factory. I carry it in a "gym bag" that is designed to just barely fit a 16" AR with the upper and lower separated. Couldn't be happier. It is and feels high quality, and protects the contents well. What I like about it the most is that it deliberately looks kind of cheap, and looks nothing like a rifle bag; it doesn't even look like it could fit a rifle. Very convenient for me since I usually take public transport and don't want to advertise.
