I got tired of my standard handguards. Got me a 12'' Fortis free floater.
Looks good. What trigger do you have on it?

I really need to try a three stage trigger. Been eyeing up Geissele stuff for awhile but its hard getting s feel looking at YouTube and mechanical diagrams.Geissele SDE.
Gah. It's been three weeks since my last range trip and I'm getting antsy. Still a complete pain in the ass to get 9mm and .22LR.
Where do you live? I have no problem walking into Walmart and finding Brassmax 9mm 100 round for $23
So I'm finally in a position to purchase a gun. Check this sweet thing out.

It's perfect for what I want, a small weapon easily concealed for those late nights coming out of the casino. It shouldn't be more than $800 after the gun, bullets, holster, concealed permit, and registration.
Anyone one own one and have any thoughts they would like to share?
Super SCAR is a 2 stage trigger; I'm not sure what a three stage trigger is.What do you think about the Super SCAR trigger? I've passed on a few group buys partially because I've never shot a three stage trigger and I'm fine with the trigger as is while plinking at the range.

But to answer your question, I think the Geissele SS is a significant improvement over the factory trigger. It's lighter and the break is more crisp. Certainly notice a difference in accuracy. Also the reset feels shorter than stock (this is more applicable to 16s than 17s for obvious reasons). YMMV but the only real way you can tell whether you would like it is to try it.
Do you have a 1911 or at least shot a 1911 (a decent one, not like cheap one)? Do you like the trigger on it better than say, a Glock or an another polymer pistol? IMO that's close analogy to what the difference between Geissele or any aftermarket trigger system vs stock/GI-spec triggers.Sorry meant 2-stage trigger. I wish I knew someone else with a SCAR or any other Geissele triggers to try.

For that reason, beginners tend to shoot better with a 1911, or at least that's been the case in my experience.
You should try it out on your AR first, if you like it then swap the rest out, if not, you can always sell it back to the community for almost as much as you paid for it new.Gotcha. I've been debating upgrading the trigger on all my rifles. Geissele in SCAR and Colt, Timney in Tavor.
Give us the full rundown of your armaments! I see an FNX 45 Tactical (My man!!)
It's nice. Some blow back on the FNX but that's expected. Currently it's at the shop being cerakoted. Speaking of cool toys, I just brought a FA556 212 from botach (they are running a combo deal with MB556K brake for 800). Planning on putting it with the SBR SCAR 16s whenever that gets outta jail. It's likely to be another 12 months; the wait starts again. In the mean I can only comfort myself with video of others having fun with their FA556s...I need that Osprey!!! So many things on the list. I have a RMR on my FNX.
What else you got there?
Walther PPQ?
HK45?
No clue on the 1911?
HK45 (if not the tactical) is on my list as well. I will eventually get a Kriss Vector but I want to take care of the SCAR 16 SBR project first. Shot an XDM, not too impress with it. M9 I'm quite familar with as it's standard issued; it shoots decently but nothing really stands out about it. I would rather take a CZ75B. PS90 is just like the Kriss in that unless you get it SBR there's no point in owning. Only PS90 is significantly lower on my list since it's a proprietary munition platform which I dislike. My list grows everyday.
XDM 5.25 9mm
Beretta M9A1 or 92A1
HK45 Tactical
Osprey 45
Kriss Vector
FN PS90
Some sort of suppressor for my SCAR 17 as it sounds like lightning striking every time I shoot it.
Timney trigger for Tavor
Geissele triggers for SCAR and AR
Probably forgetting some other stuff on the want list.
Bunch of good youtube channels out there: MilitaryArmsChannel, hickok45, miculek.com, nutnfancy etc.So any good sites or pages out there that are overall good sources of firearm related articles/news? What would be best stuff to follow to stay up to date with a good variety of coverage for the world of shooting

SBRing the 17 and getting a suppressor for it are on the list as well, but again need to take care of the 16 project first.
Thinking of picking up a Howa 1500 in 270 winny, my local gun store has one for $350 new with no optics. Anybody got an opinions on good and cheap high powered scopes? Anybody used the NC-Star 4-16x50 or the NC-Star 6-24x50?
Edit: I did a little research and it sounds like the NC Star scopes fail after 50-200 shots. It kinda looks like the Tasco 4-16x40 holds up. I'm gonna have to keep looking if I want that rifle.

Picked this nice 12G Rizzini U/O up yesterday, looking forward to bedding it in this weekend on some clays and then pigeons.
Need to re-acquire my CZ 452 and Ruger 10/22 I sold a few years back.
Sexy. I love over-unders.
I have a Browning Citori Lighting that I use for clay shooting and bird hunting.
It's by far the most finely crafted (and valuable) thing I own.

This thing will break your shoulder.....awesome.
I'll let you know later. Me and arm812 are about to leave for the range.Impressions of the PPQ hwalker?
Holy cow its absolutely glorious. The trigger (wow) is so crisp I'm going to have to send in my CZ for trigger work to compete. I was tearing out the bullseye. Absolutely amazing gun.Impressions of the PPQ hwalker?
Got another new toy
Walther PPQ M2 5 Inch
Nice, I absolutely love mine (standard barrel). Wish they would of stuck with the euro mag release but it least it is switchable (lefty).
A D/A trigger better than CZ? Seriously?Holy cow its absolutely glorious. The trigger (wow) is so crisp I'm going to have to send in my CZ for trigger work to compete. I was tearing out the bullseye. Absolutely amazing gun.

Well I bought a Mosin Nagant just this past Monday. Looking forward to the weekend to get her out to the range for a few shots. I'm not sure if I want to "sporterize" her or not but I'm thinking I will get the brass stacker scout mount to put a scope on her. I do know for sure I will refinish her in the near future.
Very cool - I think I might fall victim to the M-N bug, myself. Kinda want to go bonkers and place it in this furniture, add a scope mount and see where it goes.
Was wondering if anyone has any advice on an AR-15 that's good quality but not above $900? Only one I've been able to consistently find at decent price is the S&W M&P15.
I've currently got a Glock 17, Remnington 1911 R1 Enhanced and a Mossberg 500 so I want to round out my small collection with a semi-auto rifle. Finally decided on the AR-15 over the AK-47, but for the price, I'm beginning to think the AK would be easier to go with.
I built my own for less than $700. That price doesn't include the optic which is the Vortex Strikefire. People will tell you that you can't get a quality AR unless you go and buy one from Colt, Daniel Defense or one of the other premiere gun companies that have contracts with said military service or law enforcement. That's a crock of ****.

That is gorgeous and what I'm looking to get. The scope I'm not as concerned with as I've still not decided where I want to go as far as optics. Mind sharing resources on parts? I'd love to price this out and start a build
