I'm someone who bought every Nintendo console since the NES, but entirely skipped the Wii U.
Between the gamepad, the high entry price, the underpowered hardware, the not very interesting software (imo) etc I just didn't bother.
Weirdly I'm finding myself very excited for the NX though. The hybrid console/handheld format should allow me to access all the interesting 3rd party support Nintendo handhelds get in console format (I don't really enjoy playing on portables), and could make up for interesting new experiments. That and it should also help solving the software drought problems that have been plaguing Nintendo consoles since the N64.
If the price is right I think Nintendo could hit really big with the NX.
