We've had Luigis, Sonics, Diddys, Sheiks, Pikachus, Marios, a Dark Pit, Dedede, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Zero Suit Samus. Pac-Man, Greninja and even a Dr. Mario.

The variety has been pretty good so far. We're still early on.

Angel Cortes' name entry is Bible Blak

I only started watching from the Pac Man vs Luigi match, but Diddy, Sonic, Luigi, Sheik and ZSS aren't exactly what I'd call rare. I do hope to see more of a variety later. I don't have much faith when we're out of pools, haha.

Only watching Smash 4 too.

I find Melee boring unless there's a character other than Fox/Falco/Shiek/Marth on screen.

This happens a lot in pools.

Depending on what's streamed/recorded, I'll probably watch 64 and Smash 4 singles brackets. Melee singles pool+bracket and probably the doubles bracket.

(still wish the majority of PM characters had Foxish recovery).

I just wish Falcon and Ganondorf had reversible up specials. Grab the opponent, and you can flip around and throw the opponent away and move toward the stage. I can understand having a less than stellar recovery, but it's just pathetic that hitting your opponent while recovering just resets the recovery unless you stage spike them (AND it gives them their jump back).

I'm only watching Smash 4, but I do have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. I don't really enjoy watching Smash 4 because it feels like even with 50 characters everyone has already settled in with their bandwagons. Felt like there was much more experimentation in Brawl's early stages.
Maybe my memory is bad, but I feel like the opposite. Smash 4 feels the most balanced and varied that I can ever remember from a Smash game. I wish there were less Diddy Kong and more Rosalina but otherwise I'm happy enough.

While I like Project M way more in general, I love the moment to moment in Melee watching and playing more all the time, because of that pool of upper echelon characters make it a way more offensive game, but more importantly to me, it makes the offstage/ledge game insane and volatile which gets those great M2K ledge moments, (still wish the majority of PM characters had Foxish recovery).

Oh for sure, I love the top tier MUs period. I don't mind the lack of character variety because the players make those characters play differently. You don't see M2K playing Fox the same way Mang0 does, for example. Or, PPMD playing Marth the same way M2K plays Marth. They all play the characters differently and that's what makes it a special game. Nevermind how close the MUs between those characters are to begin with.

Manny came up with hoo hah, but he doesn't play Diddy.

He committed to using Sonic at that tournament despite his commentary being aimed at Hungrybox. He's a pretty good Sonic.

Man, I really do want to see more Peach though. That's my Smash 4 main and I know she's really damn good in this one.

Luigi has been pretty dominant this whole tournament that I've seen.
