Oh no doubt, his ground game can be atrocious against campers and he's got no ways to launch characters like Villager or DHD to get his Levin aerials going.

Robin just seems to have a ton of bad match-ups, and I think a lot of that comes from his ground speed being so poor. He's otherwise built like a solid, good character but he just can't move well.



I don't doubt that Sheik is all around better but Arcfire blocks her needles and her approaches entirely. She also depends a lot on her aerials which is where the Levin shines and bair comes out super fast for him.

Bouncing Fish > Arcfire, she doesn't need to depend on her aerials as much if she can just bouncing fish or quickly grab/ftilt/dtilt Robin for free since he's so slow.

I personally think Robin's around mid tier, and it's mostly due to the bad movement + matchups. He shines with players who make good reads to do damaging Levin Sword strings.

That sucks cause watching a good robin is very fun to watch, ton of his/her attacks are setups to larger stronger attacks that can be launched from a distance and can catch opponents offguard.

Same. It's one of the things since Smash 4 I've come to dislike even just from a watching point of view. I like to see a back and forth and if it's to easy for one side to dominate it's not fun. If players are equal then you could have that back and forth I guess but don't like blow outs.
