Anyone having lag issues today or is this a me problem?
Why do I suck so bad. Twice I snuck up behind someone, empty two clips into them and then they turn around and kill me in in three shots.
Could’ve also have been someone with high end armor. I’ve put two mags into a pathfinder once to no avail due to that. And of course the random who was originally following me ran off somewhere so when this guy’s teammate got the drop on me, it was game over.Sounds less like an issue with skill and more an issue with latency.
I put in about 30 hours and i've got 5000 credits. I won twice and made the top 2 teams about 20 times. Zero way you almost have enough credits playing casually lol. Had to say it.
How does it work? How do I access training mode after the introduction?
*edit*
Nevermind, I figured it out.
How does it work?
Leveling up and I believe you get bonuses for winningEh, weird, I'm still Lv16 and got almost 8K, playing very casually, because I'm not winning anymore and progression is very slow if you don't get kills.
Actually, I didn't notice how to get the money, is it by leveling up? I can see it taking more time if you don't do well on matches...

I don't think I've done a more ridiculous 180 on a game, ever lol. I still want a Titanfall so bad that it hurts, but this game is hot sex in a pancake house levels of fun. The ping system also has to be the single most brilliant genre-saving addition I've come across.
It won’t do Anthem any favors, hopefully it will be like some folks think and have very little overlap. Personally I think there will be a fair bit of overlap.I honestly think EA made a mistake releasing this so close to Anthem.

I agree with those saying the game is super fun - having a blast with it. My only frustration is randos who are too lazy (or maybe stupid) to ping *anything*. Communication and sticking together are key to winning.
Yep. I mean Titanfall 2 was superb as well. I guess Apex is the game that breaks out for them though. You know you’ve captured magic in a bottle when you see this common trend. People coming in with a negative attitude sharpening their knives but instead getting smitten.
Tf1 & Tf2 were only the prelude. This is the game that what will solidify Respawn as a developer to be reckoned with. EA’s top billing, and arguably their saviours.
The only question that remains is the marketplace, and will people be motivated to pour money into it or just freeload. And will it remain free of EA exploitative shenanigans.
For some. There are lots of folks who have more than one itch to scratch. I put time into Destiny, Siege, God of War, ACO and now Apex. I feel like today’s gamers don’t necessarily slot neatly into PVE or PVP etc. and screen time is a finite quantity. That’s why Netflix considers Fortnite a major competitor.I honestly feel like they scratch different itches
XP is mostly gained by having your team survive as long as possible. Each frag only grants you 50 pts, while the time your team spends in game grants you several thousands if you're doing good. The games mostly rewards team play : reviving a teammate is worth 4 frags, and I don't think you get a reward if you leave the game after you died but your mates keep playing.
As for money, you get at least 600 for each level, so by level 20 you should have enough to buy a character.
Am I the only one that has problems spotting people in this game? I've been trying to hold in this complaint thinking that maybe I just need to get more used to the game, but I almost never can spot people unless they're in the desert or if they fire first. They just blend into the environment and it's really starting to frustrate me.
The character designs in this game are godawful so I'm not motivated to spend money. Spent so much money on PUBG characters and would spend on Fortnite if I bothered to play it. They don't really any good avenue for making money from this game at the moment.
I'm surprised at the complaints about the art. If figured most would find it "inoffensive" at the very least. The only character that I think looks straight up bad in terms of her in game model is Lifeline.
And her "Jamican" accent too. As a Jamaican I find it terrible enough to be offended lol.

Yeah I guess inoffensive is what I would call them. And yeah lifeline is easily the worst, the devs also clearly didn't know what to do with her skins, even the legendary ones are hardly more than different colours.
I just think in a character based game like this where revenue is to come from skins "inoffensive" isn't ideal. You look at overwatch or LOL and you see people with those characters as avatars, or in their nickname or doing concept art or cosplay, etc. They are so attached to them that I get why they want to own cool skins for them.
I don't see these characters generating that level of attachment, but maybe I'm wrong (hopefully, since I want the game to do well and get a lot of support)

Just got to Lv20, I have about 10200 tokens now, getting 600 per level. Seems good to me. I think by Lv50 I can unlock the second character.
Do we still get boxes after Lv50? That's my main concern, since 10 boxes are about $10, if we don't get more for free.

I agree, the style doesn't bother me but I don't love it either, it's just there. When I saw characters from Team Fortress 2 or Overwatch, they were immediately fun and charming, and it came to no surprise when fan-art was created about them. I don't see it happening as much with the Apex characters.
It's still better than if they had kept the raw Titanfall 1/2 designs, though (also ok, but even more bland).
In hindsight I also appreciate the fact that this thing just dropped out of nowhere for all platforms.
No press events, no paid shill streams, no exclusive beta weekends, no bullshit at all. Just, "here try this game we made, everyone can start playing right now".
I don’t know if I like it or not.
I was expecting wall running...but I got weird team playing and tactical flanking.
I think I’ll get it but I can’t tell yet.

I never understood people caring about how the characters/skins look. About 10 rounds in I stop seeing all of that, it's just the Matrix. There's data useful to winning and the rest is chaff. Guess I'm strange.
The movement system is still extremely flexible
Plus youte not pilots in this game
I'm glad theres no wall running
Yeah I can understand how it wouldnt work. In Titan fall I never stay with my team and enjoy being solo.If you didn't see it elsewhere, Respawn tried Titans and wall running. Neither worked in a battle royale game. Wall running in particular kept splitting up teams.
What can I say. I like playing virtual dress-up.
Level 23. Not too much time tbhit will take quite some time to reach 12,000 credits
