Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17, including the rumoured Air model. Possible updates may also include new AirPods and Apple Watch series 11, along with release dates for iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe.

Who is tuning in?

When did Apple get so fucking lame?
I think you know. Steve Died and the Woz has been gone.

I tried to find this on YOUTUBE search and it could not find it. What a terrible search system. It went to Game explain.

I hate these heartfelt segments.

I don't really care about the new iPhone, but I really want the new AirPod pros. I use mine literally everyday, almost all day. Even when I fall asleep.

And the new ones apparently have "sleep detection", so they shut off when you fall asleep. I want that feature so badly.

I want the real time translation.

I still have apple care + on my existing phone. I lowkey want to break it so I can get a brand new one to sell. (If you're reading this, apple, I'm just joking)

The last time Apple made a big new product line line was iWatch. 10 years ago in 2015. Since then, it's just incremental boosts to their existing product lines. And even discontinued iPods a few years ago in hopes people go for their phones for music.

I'd argue that the AirPods and pros were pretty huge advancements in earbud tech.

But basically ALL smartphones are identical and borderline-perfect at this point. Whether it's Apple or android, the platforms and devices are just so damn powerful and mature. I can't even imagine how anyone could significantly improve or change the overall design of smartphones at this point. Not until we get brain implants lol.

Who the hell is asking for a skinnier phone.

"iPhone Air is unlike ANYTHING you've experienced before. Unless you've ever used an iPhone, then it's the same thing only skinnier."

What's the point in making the phones thinner if it just means the camera bump gets bigger? Most people end up getting cases which make it flush with the bump anyway so why not keep the size and go for a bigger battery or something?

Speaking of iPhone, has anyone else been having problems using GAF on mobile? Ever since I updated to the iOS 26 beta, there are a bunch of issues on GAF, like emotes not showing up in menus, buttons not working, not being able to snap to the top of the page anymore, refresh breaking, and more stuff.

I figure it might just be because it's a beta firmware, but we're really close to public release, so I'm worried it won't be fixed.

Forced "innovation" to make more people upgrade.

It's interesting that the camera bump is preventing wireless chargers to work.

You know what would be an awesome iPhone upgrade? A better antenna. Ever since 5GUW has rolled out, my coverage in most areas has gotten significantly worse, unless I happen to be in a 5GUW spot.

I live in a pretty wealthy and populated suburb, and my neighborhood gets literally almost no signal from any of the wireless providers. It's insane that my cell phone drops more calls in 2025 than it did in 2005.

The camera bump on the new pro is so fucking ugly.
