Is the "Hey Siri" option a major drain on the battery? Surprised it's turned on by default
mm it was off by default for me

New phone is awesome. All the 16 gig haters should realize that after cleaning up apps and deleting photos . We had almost 8 gigs free memory. Doesn't sould like much, but should be fine for my wife. So no one "died". Thanks for the support though.
Whose is the second phone? Let it be their disappointment, hah.

I'm actually really impressed with "Hey, Siri" so far. I know it's been a pretty common feature on Android for a while now, but it's nice. I probably won't use it for a ton more than "Hey, Siri, how do I get home from here?" but that's still a nice feature.
On the 5s I can definitely unlock via code way faster than with a fingerprint. And that's if it actually gets the fingerprint the first time.

It asked me during setup if I wanted it enabled. Had to repeat several phrases. After that it has been set up.
I would imagine if I skipped that step it wouldn't be set up.
Hey Siri is awesome but I bet it's gonna drain the hell out of the battery
From 0 to full it's pretty close actually if you're using a 2 Amp charger. IIRC, they actually have the quick charge circuitry inside them, it's just not advertised.
Nabbed my 6S today. Big jump up from my 5S. I'm actually ever so slightly annoyed at the fact that I can't one-hand my phone effectively anymore. Haha. Can't reach the top left icons without adjusting my hand.
So glad I didn't get the Plus. Would be way too big for me. In both use and storage (pocket, etc)
Very happy so far. And damn if the camera isn't an all star. So happy.
Thrilled too that I painlessly reserved this phone only 7 days ago and walked into the store to pick it up today.

Once you update your 6S to 9.1, you should be able to restore your 6's backup to it. If it's encrypted there's nothing special you need to do, it'll just prompt for the password you encrypted it with when you pick it to restore.
Damn this phone is fast.
I did not expect the jump to be this massive from the 5S.
Should be in App Store under updates and then purchases. So my phone won't download apps that were from my previous phone, what do I do? Save me Tebow!

Me either. I didn't realize how many minor delays and lags I put up with on the 5S.
Getting close to the point of diminishing returns now
I'm curious the battery life I'll get. 6s Plus, Bluetooth always on and paired to an Apple Watch, wifi always on, hey Siri always on, airdrop always on, cellular data on for everything, background app refresh on for everything, backlight at half
Joke post? You'll get like 2 hours and I'm not exaggerating. I left Bluetooth and AirDrop accidentally on after an update (not sure why it turns those on after every update, but I digress) and I was getting 4 hours of usage. I thought my battery was on the fritz, but once I realized what was causing the drain it went back up to 6 hours. You are adding like 5 more drain sources, so 2 hours is a realistic possibility lol.
The 6S will become slow over time with each new ios update after Iphone7 comes out.
Not trying to be cynical, but it's just reality. By this time 2 years from now, your 6S will likely be almost as slow as your 5S is now.
My 5S was as fast as the day I got it

If not there I have no idea.
Loving the pop and peek features.
I was going to go no case this time but it feels slippery. Might grab the apple leather case
My 5s is still blazing fast on 9.0.1Unless you haven't updated ios in a while, I highly doubt that.

I grabbed this at the apple store today. It feels good and looks amazing on my gold iphone 6s.
