It's a whole new machine with an A6X processor. "We are so far ahead of the competition I can't even see them in the rear-view mirror.

Until the competition decided to shove the i3, i5 and the new Atom into tablets.

The only way they don't seem like incredible cocks after spending that much time shitting on the Nexus is if they come out swinging just as hard with the price.

I love the "look at how bad this shit is" part.

Nah, it still needs an IGZO display and to go back to its previous thinness/charge times. And a new industrial design. It'll get an update, I think.

Yeah. While my brain snapped out for a second, I'm back now and this really isn't a generational leap. I want the same design of the iPad mini (all black) and a laminated display. I'm also wondering if they bumped the RAM, but I doubt it.

But the problem is the release date. Now that they are bringing this out in the Fall, I expect the next release this time next year and I can't wait that long. I'm still using an OG iPad.

Who'd have thought 8" 4:3 is bigger than 7" 16:9, amazing scenes.

Apple must be actually worried about Google to bring out the direct comparisons.

So they're comparing a 7" tablet to a 7.9" tablet and how it has a larger screen... no fucking shit sherlock.

Edit: its slower than a nexus 7.

Excellent examples;

4:3 ftw.

Not quite as useful when viewing videos those. Having said that, it was a great point by Apple, and part of the reason why so many people are ditching the iPhone. It's basically exactly this scenario but in reverse, with Android devices having bigger screens and more screen real estate.

But price will be the main deciding factor.

No, They don't spend 5 minutes showing screenshots of a competitors device and screaming

"LOOK HOW MUCH BETTER WE ARE!!!!"

You'd almost think they're trying to convince people to buy their device instead of it's main competition.

Nah, that would be ridiculous, amirite?

Odd to see Apple having to compare themselves to another product, rather than establishing the market. I actually don't think it's that necessary; the Mini will kill every other tablet anyway (barring a high price).

This....I'm completely surprised they are doing this. If they have a good price point the Nexus 7 is already dead...no need to compare.
