This is a bummer. I was expecting something radically different. The new Nokia phone looks more appealing then this.
I just don't get why we get posts that people have "boners" over this. I mean it looks like a nice phone, but it's just a bigger screen and a bit smaller. There's nothing mind blowing or game changing about it. That's not a terrible thing, but it's just kind of silly to see people overreact to stuff I guess.
This is coming from a dumb-phone user.
It feels closer to a 4>4S than a 3GS>4.
Have you not seen the event? Seriously.
People saying ''That's it?'' must have been completely fixated by the taller screen, same width but are completely ignoring the fact that everything they improved and changed is so tremendous that a lot of companies need to up their ante by 200%
I think half my disappointment with phones stems from fucking at&t and not the manufacturers."Now you can make a FaceTime call right over the cellular network." Well...
It did, but it's a little silly to put such emphasis on this when the phone got taller as well. There's a reason it's easier for bigger devices to be thin. Are you forgetting all of the other hardware improvements? Yes that likely did take a lot of effort to accomplish.
You can say the same thing about any company's event this year versus last year's phone. It's a nice overall product, but I don't think they came with their A game on this. Of course, what I thought was a poor presentation probably has an affect on my judgement.Have you not seen the event? Seriously.

Why would that make you worry though? And about what specifically?I guess? I don't know why you're attacking me. They touted a feature that my old phone has had for a while. That makes me worry. So I asked a question.
Not everyone is a fanboy. Relax. I have an iPad and a Droid X2, with a Windows PC.
screw the phone i want to see these rumored mini-ipads or whatever.
Reasonably priced 8" ipad would make me reconsider the kindle HD.

Apple died the day Steve died![]()
Obviously trolling of the iPhone still. The Verge said:I'm going to make sweet love to this phone.
So yeah, I'm feeling bad for retail store staff. They are going to get frigging MAULED when this comes up for preorder.
why don't you buy it?
Im not as down on this so far as the others. IMO I expected this, its not shocking at all. But you MUST be kidding about the bolded. Cmon now... Maybe my sarcasm detector is broken.
Just hoping for Apple to push the envelope a little more, especially with the rest of the field so hot on their ass.
But if Apple fans were only hoping for a spec bump, I guess that's enough?
Elaborate."iOS 6 is the most advanced OS for any phone. And it powers the iPhone 5."
Umm. Nope.

Same price as the 4S. $199 for 16GB. $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB.
I guess the thing with the iPhone is that, at the end of the day it's going to have to look the same as the other iPhones. With the old iPods and iPod Nanos, they tried a different looking design with every iteration, which made them feel more different. I think that's where some of the feeling of stagnation is coming from.
I think the iPad mini is next month.
How?
And is the camera better than the 4S?
