Yes.How does one get into the ios beta? Is it devs only?
Anyone new who wants to give the beta a crack, I can probably add you. PM me with UDID. Free, but PayPal donations always welcome. ;P
But it's 5am and I'm going to sleep. :0
Skimmed the swift user guide off of Google cache. You intro to programming folks are better off learning Python first.
Oh okay thanks, if anyone wants to invite me I would really appreciate it!Yes.
Although:
Off the charts, through the roofTHE JELLY IS OFF THE ROOF.
I think you were looking at The Swift Parallel Scripting Language, not Apple's Swift.
https://developer.apple.com/swift/
Funny how the http://swift-lang.org/ website is getting bombed cause of the announcement.
What are 10.10's base specs? Can't seem to find them.
Off the charts, through the roof
(hmph!)
So with iCloud Drive, can I (from a Windows based PC) use a browser to view my fucking photos?
BIGGEST MEGATON: Full-screen contacts look to be back in iOS 8.
Heheh oops, I wasn't sure if it was the same thing but Wikipedia linked to it so it must have been correct, right???I wonder how many people are going to be learning the wrong thing lol. Some totally niche academic language is going to have thousands of app flippers scrambling to learn it haha.

Since when do iOS developers get the Mac betas? So cool to be getting iOS 8 and Yosemite today!
Apple's ecosystem turning into "toxic hellstew" confirmed, haha.Biggest Megaton: Apple is finally opening up shit for developers on iOS (other apps, parts of the OS, parts of the phone, etc)
No more control freak Steve Jobs stopping this, let the developers actually do some shit.

I'm hoping for a silent refresh on iMacs soon. I need a new computer.
Just a timely, referential joke.Giving devs freedom != fragmented garbage
Is it worth getting the beta for Yosemite or should I just wait until it launches?
I remember last year Mavericks beta was really buggy and A LOT happened between beta and release.
Don't do it unless you have a computer you can afford to lose.
this is for OS X Yosemite server, so probably the same:
To install OS X Server 4.0 Developer Preview, you need one of these computers:" ""iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)"
""MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)"
""MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)"
""MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)"
""Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)" "
"Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)" "
"Xserve (Early 2009)"
Your Mac needs:"
""OS X Yosemite"
""At least 2 GB of RAM "
""At least 10 GB of available disk space (50 GB if you wish to use Caching Server)" "
looks like the same as 10.9
