New to android! I have a question: what's the best music player out there?
Free or not.
I prefer the Play Music app, but I've used winamp in the past without problems.

Try doubleTwist or iSyncr. Is there any way to sync with itunes somewhat at least? I have play music but I never finished uploading songs since it kills my connection for some reason. I'd rather have the files locally too. If I find a good enough solution I'll probably just buy a big sd card.

Nexus 4 is arriving on Monday. It's my first Android phone (was with iOS for five year, WP8 for six months). What are the first things I should do and install?
Fluffy how do I stop Stay Awake from automatically launching after every reboot?

Perfect Viewer, it's the perfect comic reading app for almost any kind of files.Any suggestions for an ebook reader app for cbr files?
So. I removed all the extra lock screen panels available, and now I want to fiddle around with dashclock, but since there are no panels available I can't add it.
How do I bring back empty lock screen panels ? (4.2, Nexus 4)
Now Playing is an excellent free music player in beta that is lightweight and has Holo. Google the app name and the download link should be on the creator's G+.
I just gave it a try and I have to say that it's a very beautiful app. It still needs a lot of work, but at the rate that the dev is going, it won't be too long until it becomes a good player. Now Playing is an excellent free music player in beta that is lightweight and has Holo. Also, registering celltowers is a thousand time easier with Llama than with Tasker. It is easier to use overall. It's also free.Anyone else find Tasker a bit useless? I mean, there's stuff you can do like disable WiFi and stuff when you leave the house. But the thing is, you can do that with Llama (easier too). Then there's stuff like turning on the music app when a headphone is plugged in but I think Llama can do that too. I've been trying to find for several weeks what cool things Tasker can do but a lot of it seems a bit useless.
Anyone else? Or can anyone name me a few things I can do with Tasker (Yes, I've checked the Tasker Wiki and the subreddit.
Isn't it just swiping to the left from the lockscreen? I always get a screen with a + on it and then you can add new panels.
Nope. I can go right for the camera and that's it.
This is the music app I've been waiting for. It still has some ways to go but it's everything I need and look for in a music app. It's beautiful, functional and makes good use of the features 4.2 brings to the table. Can't wait for it to get out of beta! Now Playing is an excellent free music player in beta that is lightweight and has Holo. Google the app name and the download link should be on the creator's G+.
What file manager/explorer do people use? I was using Astro, grown tired of it. Switching to ES File Manager but wanted to see if anyone had any opinions.
I hear it's on his list of things to add. I'm assuming he's putting tablet support has one of his highest priorities, though.I saw the app on XDA today, beautiful UI, but I haven't seen if there's Last.FM support for it. Do you know anything about it?

Solid, ES, and Clean are the 3 best imo. What file manager/explorer do people use? I was using Astro, grown tired of it. Switching to ES File Manager but wanted to see if anyone had any opinions.
I wish developers would come out with more original names for their apps because it's hard to google something like "Now Playing" due to how common the phrase is.

it's not on the market though but you can google for it. and it's free.
Yeah never had a reason to need anything else as the stock CM file manager is perfectly fine.
How do I get apps that are not on the Google Play market to install?
That doesn't tab doesn't exist on my phone.
Guess I need to update the OS? Everything I've read says that I'll probably need to root my phone to get the updates since I'm using something from 2010.

try QuickPic, the best image viewer for Android. I love it.It doesn't support thumbnails for image files. That always bothered me.

What I'm here to say is...Where's the god damn Vine app?
Tim Schafer does.people use Vine?
Yeah, I would have linked it but I couldn't find where Igot it from, haha.Solid Explorer. It costs about $1.99, but IMO it's worth it. You can even browse files on Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive and FTP using the app.
