There is better wrestling and matches now, it just lacks the compelling stories. But even if you look back on some of the Rock n Roll/80s stuff of WWE there weren't a ton of great stories. Easily the best one was the Rise and fall of the Mega Powers

I remember him popping the crowd once in the last 3 years. And the time he got a title match at SummerSlam doesn't count, either because that was just that he got booked to win, not because he did anything in that match to do it.
