According to our sources, while The Rock may be legitimately injured, there is much more to the story than just that. Following his match with John Cena at WrestleMania 29, we're told he "stormed out" of Metlife Stadium and refused to see any of WWE's doctors. He simply told them that he was only going to see his own doctors, but did not say he was flying home to do so.

Additionally, WZROnline.com sources indicated that The Rock was upset that the original plans for WrestleMania 29 had been changed on the day of the show. There were plans up until the very last minute where The Rock would retain the WWE title and then drop it at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Despite what you see during interviews with John Cena and The Rock, there is legitimate heat between the two and they simply don't get along in real life. The two are said to be "cordial" backstage but there is a "battle of egos" and you can tell there is tension between the two according to those backstage.

I don't know how much truth there is in these articles, but if true, that is messed up. This seems like a major screwjob, and I don't blame Rock for what he did at all.

I love:

1. Daniel Bryan
2. CM Punk
3. The Shield
4. Dolph Ziggler
5. Antonio Cesaro

Really boring Raw tonight. I made a complete mistake by tuning in when I could have been doing something productive like cleaning up the house a bit. Sigh. 'Nite for real this time, folks.

Vinny Mac, why you gotta make us dislike you when we want to love you?

Remember that time John Cena got slaughtered by Brock only to win and then no sell it and stay around instead of taking time off? And then the rumor that Brock refused to work with him anymore because of that and he still hasn't.

Good times.

Thank you Booker. I'm glad there's a triple threat match. It'll at least be interesting. These writers need to make storylines for fuck sakes.

Sheamus and Mark Henry? Cool... but why?

Orton and Big Show probaby... Why?

Bring back #1 contender matches... and I'm not talking about bull shit Battle Royals. Make FEUDS dammit.

You could tell The Rock felt like a total assclown doing that shit at the end where he raised Cena's hand with pyro flying all around. 100% forced and you could tell he knew it.

Seriously. Now I don't blame people hating on The Rock (and others) for coming back every now and then but still.. a lot of the shit recently has been ALL IN FAVOR for John Cena. I would be legitimately pissed too.

Hopefully he's pissed enough to stay away so

1. He can keep being happy making movies
2. He can stop ruining his legacy bumbling around with a human black hole
3. I don't have to watch him huffing and puffing to bore the house down

Am I the only one totally not buying that report? No way would they change the plans on the Rock. This whole thing seemed planned months in advance, which is why it was so predictable. I'm sure Rock was pissed about the injury, and nothing else.

Vince will never get a good crowd in a southern USA city......ever. The Southern states were very loyal to the NWA/WCW in its day. Those cities respond better to strong style wrestling and physical action rather than Sports Entertainment. Look at the reception Brock got, he came down and whipped ass and Heymans promo was about a match, in return they had a strong response.

Soap Opera storylines and characters like Fandango don't get over in the south and never will. Even during the height of Hulkamania WWE was seen as second rate in the south while Ric Flair sold out arenas night after night wrestling one hour draws. The arena sold out tonight because fans in the South love Wrestling. The arena was dead for the same reason, the fans wanted a wrestling show not a shit show.

He has mastered the Kimura Lock in the shadows, and has perhaps reached red belt. According to my dirt sheet he is set to announce his crossover on 4/20 (coincidence? wake up sheeple) at UFC on FOX in San Jose, as teased this morning on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.

Tune in and watch Chael Mark Punk SHOCK DA WORLD.

In New Japan I want to see the feuds go this way now...

Okada vs Nakamura which leads up to Naito's return who attacks both because both those guys fuck him over. Naito wins G1 since he's due back in August and then it's a triple threat. Naito wins title.

Tanahashi vs heel Devitt. I think this would work really well. Golden boy versus 'evil' golden boy. 'Betrayed honor' and all that.

Swords And Guns vs Yano and Iizuka because Goto and Anderson ain't doing shit now anyways.

MiSu vs Liger THEN I want to see MiSu vs Naito

Everything was planned in advanced for sure. I just think (hope) minor details that might've been changed were the "Rock having his arm raised by Cena" moments. It reminded me of the HHH/Undertaker match last year where they all tried to look good. It's just dumb.

Agreed
There is more to this story than just the injury.

I read some of the comments on the article, and there was one that I thought was believable. One guy said that maybe the creative team let Rock believe that he would retain and then lose at Extreme Rules, but creative and Cena knew all along that Cena would win the title at Wrestlemania.

That would mean that the Cena heel turn was probably planned to happen at or after Mania, given the rematch. I just can't believe one man can be so selfish and refuse to put anybody over for the last 10 years.

That's kind of what I was expecting after we got word that Rock was coming back for one more PPV.

So much for that idea.

Regardless of how true or untrue that article's rumors are, the Lesnar incident + the incessant smirking demonstrate that John Cena doesn't give a single fuck about anything. Remember his shitting on Big Show, Ziggler as entities because lol Cena? Those real examples are what make us even willing to give the slightest credence to a rumor that The Rock's obvious displeasure at WM29 is due to some "legit heat" or "changed plans" or what have you. Otherwise, it'd be "lol dirtsheets".

The problem is that everyone he opposes falls into two camps:
1) not in a position to call him out on the bullshit
2) too much respect for wrestling to just audible out of bullshit and into something better

Cena's a troll and no one is willing or strong enough to wield the banhammer :(

Let's say WWE went back to old-school rasslin' booking. Normal, believable storylines that spanned many months, and for the most part, had obvious story hooks.
WWE wouldn't pay attention to smarks guessing their storylines and would just stick to the programme and let things play out.

Firstly, would that be an improvement over what we have now? Would you care that you could spot title changes from a mile away etc?

Secondly, if it were an improvement, do you think it would make a tangible difference to viewership or crowd interaction?

Thirdly, is WWE even capable of stringing together a basic, coherent, ENJOYABLE storyline?
