April Wrasslin |OT| DO DO, DO DO DO-DO-DO, DO-DO-DO, DO-DOOOOO DO-DO

From the Observer;

"There is absolute panic at Raw at this moment. The show was scheduled to build to a segment where Brock Lesnar beat up Rock to set up next year's WrestleMania main event. Rock is not there. The word at the building is he went home. Vince McMahon, the writers and producers are in the process of redoing the show, evidently believing the angle has been nixed. Nobody knows any details as to what happened past that. The belief right now is Rock is not appearing and hopefully if that changes we'll get an update."

I miss Soulplaya and Perspicacity a lot right now.

Persp is back, he posted yesterday, I think.

Guess those rumors of The Rock finishing up last night were true.

H-H-H-Hey guys, m-maybe they'll push El Generico to debut against Cena so he can Overcome The Odds™ against someone fresh?

This doesn't surprise me. Rock looked, dare I say, "legit shook" last night.

Call up Austin, express fly him to Raw, have Punk come out, Austin gives him a Stunner.

Sets up WM30 main event. Gives Punk reason to be off for a while.

We all avoid a boring Brocky match.

The end segment is screwed, and there's a panic, it's not like there's 2.75. more hours in the show. Also I like that the post-WM RAW, the first of the new "season" was apparently going to end with two part timers setting up a match for a year's time. Really get that compelling start for the rest of the year, you know.

Sounds like RAW is going to be a disaster. Fun times.

Hey you know what would be fresh and exciting?
Not telegraphing your WM30 main event a full year in advance so you're not handcuffed with your booking options.
Wouldn't that be a nice change?

The end segment is screwed, and there's a panic, it's not like there's 2.75. more hours in the show.
Clearly the remaining 2.75 hours of the show were just filler to pass the time between commercials.
Featuring a bunch of jobbers trading wins back and forth in non-existent angles that build to nothing.
You'll probably get a bunch of rematches from last night, too.

If that wasn't the Observer I'd say dirtsheets lol.

What the hell.

Clearly Rock's taken his ball and gone home like Stone Cold Steve Austin did that one time in 2002, so in an ironic twist Cena will now get to cut the promo that Rock did against Austin back then on Rock himself, EXCITE!

it's probably best Rock bailed out, maybe now they realize they should push people who genuinely love the business like Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, etc. and not rely on bums that are only in it for the payday and put in -100% effort

also, lol @ redoing an entire show because a part timer left.

I don't think Rock was doing it for the money, I'm sure he gets more than enough from all the other stuff he does

Rock looked like he couldn't have given less of a shit from his entrance to his exit. Say what you want about Rock gassing 5 minutes into all of his matches for the past 2 years, but I've never seen him phone it in like he did last night. Not during his actual run, or 2003, or WM 20. He didn't even look like he was trying last night, Cena was being Cena with his terrible "shocked" acting, and I'd guess one of the matches before them went too long (probably Brock/HHH, where things went slower than expected) and cut into their entrance/match and Rock showed his displeasure the entire time.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a main event match where both guys were going so through the motions and not even trying to pretend like they gave a shit. Vince had to be losing his mind at the silence and boredom of the last two matches. There were bigger reactions during Fandango/Jericho than Bork/HHH. And then no one cared about the main event until the 6 minutes into the 15 minute finishing sequence.

I think it's insane to suggest Rock did this for the money, it's not like he needs it. I honestly think he was genuinely disgusted by the reaction last night. He didn't look happy at all during the stupid ass salute and raising Cena's hand to a chorus of boos bit.

They've made some new 30 for 30s? I do enjoy a good sport documentary!

Yeah a whole slew of em hit US Netflix a month or two ago. Highly recommend the one "Broke" - it's about athletes losing allll their money.

In a just world, he was legit shook by how bad the match was and how bad the match was received, and decided he doesn't want his name attached to the sort of bullshit WWE is peddling. Why would someone of his stature, showing up as a hobby, stand for that shit? #10yearsstrong #rtime=now

I don't understand the hate for The Rock, and I especially don't understand it when it's untrue.

Probably because he knows it was done to try to "pass the torch" to Cena. Uhm..does this company realize that John Cena technically already had the torch after Rock and Brock left as full time guys? How many years ago was that?

I'll watch those tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up, Sunflower.

30 for 30s are really good, no matter the subject, I get sucked in. Wild because different directors and different stories! They have a high bar of quality. Would love to see one on wrestling.
