misrepresenting history? I was right on both counts.
I dunno, maybe you missed my rebuttal where I reminded you that the first 3 players night killed were Tucah, Coppa, and LMQ, and that you and Ezekel, the ones who won the MVP awards, survived to the end.
You never responded to this post, so I figure you gave up the notion. But, apparently, you think you were still in the right and that the the reason the night roles didn't matter much is because they took out the "strongest players". Even when Hobohodo, an actual HHA, literally said they went for the quiet ones to keep Village in the dark, and if you read the HHA chat, you would see this as well?
HHA succeeded mostly because we killed ourselves, and so I think it's understandable that I want to prevent this from happening again.
I will say however the grid layout did play a part on some desicions of ours early on as we tried to work shit out but in the long run, but otherwise that's pretty much what the strategy was. But yeah will leave it at that.
mafia just needs to space their volunteers and depending on how many there are they can be on as many as ALL the missions.
And how, may I ask, will mafia account for people devolunteering, revolunteering, for people rush volunteering. Will they just devolunteer and revolunteer as well? You're saying it would be as simple as putting all their guys into the list 3-4 days ahead and just waiting for their turn?
You seriously think there would be nothing suspicious about a few guys trying to remain a certain distance from each other on the list? And that we wouldn't spot it? My system was conceived with the notion that
any attempt to game it would be plainly visible to all, because the volunteer, and voluteering, is a
totally visible process.
Even, and I don't think this would happen, if they tried this and got away with it, all they get is access to the chats. It doesn't stop them from being lynched in the day, and more importantly, it means they left a paper trail for us to look at. If, on Day 7-8, we lynch a mafia and see they have have repeatedly been on the mission along with one or two other guys, what do you think this tells us?
You didn't mention your flaws at all! burbeting pointed them out, how in the actual fuck am I lying?
I never thought we could come up with a perfect system, I was only interesting in creating the least exploitable one, one that would require minimum work, upkeep, or reliance on Ouro, one that everyone can quickly agree on so we can focus on what's important, lynching, one that would allow everyone to participate, should they choose to. I have always been consistent on that front.

One point I have here is that the system Haly suggested is exploitable by mafia but he didn't seem to realize that, It took burbeting to point out that it was.
This, make it sound like burbeting is saying there's some serious flaw in my system when all he really said was "it's not perfect" (what is?) and you conveniently left out the second part "and yeah, it's better than the first two", which is all I expected out of my system, a least-worst choice.
