I don't even think Asus supports our board anymore. But if you go to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/michael.mcclay/ you can get the UBER BIOS (yaaahhh baby) which is rock solid, IMO, and better than anything Asus has released for the board. It flashes your Silicon Image firmware to the latest version, which is nice for us SATA users. It also has some advanced IDE options you can set in the BIOS that you couldn't before, among other things (like some crazy voltage settings that I wouldn't dare try.
I use the Uber 1008 SATA Enhanced BIOS for revision 1.0x boards (I have 1.04).

Thanks for downloading my Asus A7N8X Deluxe bios mod.
This one has the new v4.2.50 SATA bios added into it.
Its based on the Asus A7N8X-Deluxe 1008 final bios.
Its for the A7N8X-Deluxe v1.04 - 1.06 only, and not for use in v2.0 mobos
The latest versions of this bios are always availavble in the Asus forums on www.nforcershq.com
These are based on the Asus release notes
Change log :-
1) Add boot option to select boot from SCSI or SATA.
2) Update FSB400 romsip table.
OPtions in this Uber bios release
1) This revision has more AGP voltage and Q-fan options to select.
2) There are also more options for the UART2 connector like 'smart card' and 'ASKIR'.
3) Also the AUTO mode for the printer port IO/IRQ allocation has been made selectable.
4) S3(STR) is now selectable for option 'ACPI Suspend to RAM'.
5) Additional Power On By PS/2 Keyboard/Power On By PS/2 Mouse options are available.
6) 2.9V is now available in the DDR Reference Voltage selection choices.
7) 1.8V is now available in the AGP VDDQ Voltage selection choices.
8) Updated the SATA RAID bios to v4.2.50
Flash this like you would the normal Asus supplied bios.
