Are you interested in buying a $399 Xbox One without Kinect?

Of course I am.

Interested in all consoles this gen until they show games I want (Already have a Wii U, no PS4).

Microsoft is showing (or are rumored to be showing) games that are interesting to me like Forza Horizon 2, Halo, Crackdown, Sunset Overdrive.

That $399 price point just got me in.

No, but I'm not a good example as I'm on a tight budget so already the PS4 is more than I really should be getting.

If I were on a decent budget, removing Kinect really wouldn't have had a big impact on my interest. What makes me more interested is the fact they finally removed the BS from Live Gold (it makes the xbox one a lot more functional if you don't need Live Gold and makes me more likely if they do offer something good with it to actually get it where as before I refused to buy Live Gold on principle alone).

I am interested in buying an Xbox One, it has a considerable bunch of upcoming exclusives I want. But my buy-in point is $299.99, which is what I feel comfortable paying for the system they've offered. Same price I waited for a PS3, which was what I felt comfortable paying for Sony's offering that gen.

I want the games, but am unwilling to pay even price with PS4 for a significantly less powerful system, and additionally I don't think enough time has past for me personally to treat Microsoft like all is well - they still constantly lie about their system power, they just had an ad-buy scandal a few months ago, and they still have the damaging ID@Xbox policy (unless that's changed) which until it's removed I can't buy the system anyway. I need to see systemic behavioral changes as well before I'm comfortable.

So $299 + that, and I'm in. :)

Nope.
I have a PC and 3DS now for new games.
I'm leaning towards PS4 (with both my eyes on E3 offerings), once I mow down all my ps3 and 360 backlogs.

Not quite.

After you choose either the PS4/XBO, the value of the other goes way down, as it'll probably only be used for exclusives. I just don't see the value in paying the extra $60 for XBLG, especially since the value is so poor compared to PS+ with the IGC. You'd be better off going with a Wii U/Handheld/PC as a second console.

I'm far more interested in buying a $399 Xbox One w/ Kinect than a $499 one w/ Kinect.

That said, I already bought a $399 PS4 b/c it was cheaper and the system's lineup and performance appealed to me more.

While the Xbox One has removed one obstacle to me purchasing, the bar for them to reach before it happens remains pretty damn high.

Not really. Just nothing there screaming out "BUY AN XBONE SO I CAN PLAY YOU!!!" Thinking about building a gaming PC in a few months and using that to complement my PS4.

No. I want further price drops and a slimmer version. No way I'm buying a console bigger and less powerful than the PS4 for the same price. And I already have a PS4 anyway so I'd find it hard to justify the extra expense.

By the way, unstable commercial policies make me hesitant in investing in the platform to begin with. Who knows what the Xbox One will look like in a year or two. I'd rather support the company that had a clear vision from the start.

Definitely more interested, but I suspect there will be a good pack-in bundle coming down the pipe, so I'll hold out for that.

Not really. I don't need another console at the moment as I already own the more powerful PS4. It needs to go cheaper for me to be interested.

No. If we're talking about exclusive content I have a PC, a PS4, a Wii-U, a Vita, and a 3DS. Ain't much that Xbox One can offer that would warrant a purchase of the system. I barely have time to play the systems I already own. No reason to throw another into the mix.

Seeing as how so many places had random sales at times and people have gotten a kinect SKU for $399/$419/$449, I'm going to say no. They just completely made Kinect irrelevant again. The whole point to ship with the console was to force it into homes and devs could be guaranteed anyone who bought an Xbox One had one and could justify developing for it.

Now, that's gone out the window. You're not going to see anything beyond what you saw on 360 for Kinect I'd say.

Would have been smarter, easier, and better for gamers to just drop the price to $399 USD for the Kinect SKU, eat the loss in profit, and hope for better sales. At least they're listening I guess and realized people never wanted Kinect, and after this fiasco they won't ever want it again I'd say.

Given how aggressive they have been with discounting and bundling on the current $500 model, I wouldn't be surprised to see them continue and to see similar things for the Kinect less model.
So no official price cut, but perhaps continued 'added value'?

Even so you'd be hard pressed to sell me on it. I just don't see what it offers me that I can't already get that justifies the investment.

In the UK it reduces the price to 350 quid. Except that it was already that price, WITH Kinect and Titanfall weeks ago. So in short, no

Alot of people said in at $400. Are they joining the party, or waiting for more now?

I'm a little upset as a day one supporter. But I paid for it. Some of the functionality is fun and the Almost-wife uses it for her games.

Going to the store this summer and I would probably buy the cheapest bundle. But I would wee what she wanted too.

Not a chance. I'm not paying the same price I paid for my PS4 just so I can play what few MS exclusives there are.

I'll bite when they get some must play games and is $250

Honestly?

I am pretty damn happy with Microsoft's recent changes of mind, but I'm just so worn out with them trying stupid shit for so many years now that I just couldn't care. I don't trust them with my money. The original X1 plans were one thing, but it's been going on for long before then.

So no, I don't particularly want one. If they keep it up maybe I'll eventually change my mind. It's a good start.

Also they would need more games that interest me. Right now they have none.

One day it may have some must have games (like Alan Wake 2). That day I will be happy I don't need to spend $100 extra for something I don't need.

No. I have neither the time or the money. I do have some mild interest in some of the games, but I can't even find time to play all the games I have now.

So no, I'll still be passing.

Yes, but that said I am primarily a PC gamer so I just want an exclusive box and outside of God of War and MLB the Show I am not a fan of Sony first party games. Plus all of my friends that have not moved to PC gaming are still on Xbox

I still would never buy such an ugly box, it needs a slick redesign (one that allows for vertical placement) before I'll consider it and even then $399 won't cut it.

Nope. I don't have any current gen console yet. I will eventually get a Wii U and a PS4 but I haven't seen anything that makes me think I need to ever purchase a Xbox One.

I can't see myself paying more than $299.99 for it. I also will probably wait for the redesign. That box is just too big, reduce the size by like a 1/3 to make it feel normal sized.

Right now, no. Down the road, with a solid backlog of exclusive titles I'll probably pick one up.

-Sunset Overdrive
-Quantum Break
-Forza 5
-Forza Horizon 2?

All enticing, but I need more than that, and while Titanfall holds some appeal for me, I'm guessing the community will have died down considerably by the time I pull the trigger on an Xbone - if not have come to the PS4 in some fashion by then.

I'm not, but mainly due to lack of time. I have a lot on my plate right now and owning two consoles would be too much. I almost have to plan my gaming sessions on the PS4 as it is.

Maybe at $199 (if ever) down the line I can justify it.

Not yet. Yes, it has Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break, but not only don't I have enough money to support purchases between this and my PS4, but I want to see how's the games situation 2 years in.

Yes. Still waiting for these consoles to have enough games to warrant a purchase, though. The price drop is not as important as the indication that MS is adapting to the market.

Microsoft is going to find out fairly quickly the $100 price difference isn't why the PS4 is kicking their ass. Kinect is mainly the only thing most would buy a X1 over a a PS4, and now it's unbundle which means even less support, didn't think it could get worse, I expect even higher PS4 vs X1 sales.
