Are you interested in buying a $399 Xbox One without Kinect?

More interested than paying an extra $100 with kineck for sure

Still waiting for a second hardware revision or a price drop (same with the ps4)

No. I'd rather of paid the extra 100 (or in my case wait for a price drop) because not being Kinected would make me feel as if I am missing out on stuff.

I will eventually buy an Xbone because of Sunset Overdrive but I will wait for the price to go further down to $350 (whether through deals or w/e) before I buy. The xbone is significantly weaker than the PS4 so $399 is still to much.

No, because they won't have The Last Guardian.
Not really joking by the way.

My rules for Xbone adoption:
1) $250 or less
2) Killer Instinct final full edition on disc
3) It comes in white

I simply have no time nor the will to own 2 consoles that plays very similar games.
Wii U + PS4 for me and Xbone when the above 3 criteria are met.

No, no games now or announced interest me at this point.
If I ever see an exclusive game that interested me, I'd probably get one with Kinect anyway. Kinect is not the issue.

It'd take another price drop for me. Waiting to see if all that tv crap with Quantum Break detracts from the game and if the new Halo is a return to form.

.

Not yet, but this is perfect for those people waiting for the next gen leap and like Halo/Gears of War. So it will boost sales.

Needs to be $100 less for me to jump.

The main questions now become, at least for me:

1. Are there enough enough XB1 exclusives to warrant purchasing an extra £350 console; bearing in mind that multi-plats will be played on PS4 due to better/more GDDR5 RAM.

2. If XBGold now equals PS+, why would I consider paying for both services. Why pay twice for the same service on both devices?

No, but it's a good start. I want to see how the exclusive games turn out before i start thinking about it.
Focus on Kinect was the biggest nono, but not the only issue i had with that console. They f'd up so bad with that machine and their focus. Imwonder who kade all those decisions.

Great performing exclusive games might win me over.
Weird, considering how much i loved my 360.

Nope. Although in fairness I don't really know what they could do at this point to bring me back. I'd never owned at Sony product before this gen (have purchased a PS3 and Vita since) and was a 360 only owner last gen. I love my PS4. I'm honestly just not interested in anything I've seen that MS is offering and certainly not at that price without Kinect. My main tie to XBOX was my friends list but once I bit the bullet and made some PSN friends it hasn't bothered me at all - and I've convinced several from my XBL list to switch too.... which is Microsoft's real problem going forward

I can't help but think the $450 Titanfall bundle with Kinect was a better value than a $400 Xbox w/o Titanfall and w/o a Kinect. So no, if the bundle didn't get me to bite then this won't either.

No. I think the way Microsoft shoehorned Kinect is a big problem that they've very aggressively solved just now, but it isn't the only one. I genuinely disagree with Microsoft's vision for console gaming as they've presented it (or tried to run from it) over the past year and I think their competition has a more amenable vision. Sony has the more powerful device for the same price. Even without the Kinect or DRM fiascoes, that would have been the beginning and the end of the discussion for me.

I told myself if they dropped the Kinect, I would buy one. First the price has to go lower though, so in a year or two I'll be all over it.

Nope. There are still not enough exclusives I care about to make it worth buying over a PS4 at this point. It has been said several times now, but $349 should have been the price without Kinect. $399 with Titanfall. I almost feel like Microsoft is trying to make more money off of this move.

Nope. Already have a PS4. Obviously it doesn't help that Xbox One launch is some 4 months away, they basically lost the early years by default just by not launching worldwide on time. Now that there's been a whole year of negativity around the console, I have a hard time seeing many people being interested when the console finally launches in September regardless of the price. One thing that would help tremendously is if they had some exclusive title launching at the same time.

But they basically lost faith in Kinect before the console even launched worldwide. That's not good.

Nah. History has shown me that Sony will wind up with the better exclusives( I say that subjectively of course based on my taste) and the better long-term support. Im past the point now of feeling like I need to own every system, and I'm still heavily vested in last gen 360/ps3. I'm also 'over' Halo and Gears of War, the only xbox exclusives that I liked enough to buy a console for. New entries in those series are no longer system sellers for me, so unless they come out with new 'gotta play' exclusives, I doubt I'll end up buying one. Or if I do, it will be way down the line when I've exhausted the 360s library.

No, it seems like a crappy deal compared to the $450 Titanfall bundle. I'm still waiting for more interesting exclusives.

Price is still too high! $399 seems like more than I'd want to pay when you consider just a few weeks ago some retailers sold the TF bundle for $399. Not many, most did it for $450, but that $450 price seems to be the going price now, so really I'm only saving $50 and I'm not getting TF or the camera? May as well spend $50 and get the dumb camera because I was going to buy TF anyway.

In the UK at some point, one retailer was selling it for £309.99, IRC - which is a lot less than the original £429.99 point (which became £399 later, I think).

Interested, but not enough to purchase one yet I don't think.

My PS4 works very well and I'll be buying all multiplats for that unless something changes. Since the Kinect is gone, the XB1 doesn't really offer me much that my PS4 can't do, which means it's all down to exclusive games.

Sunset Overdrive is tempting me most, and Halo 2: Anniversary is certainly appearling. But $400 is still a lot of money, I'm going to probably need 5 grade-A exclusives, or at least 10 good/great ones before I seriously start thinking about making the leap.

I bought and sold an Xbox 360 on three seperate occasions, each time thinking I would use it and ended up just not really getting into it due to lack of compelling software. Really don't want to make that same mistake this time. I will buy an XB1 - but only when the time is right.

I can't justify owning my PS4 that I never play. I just wanted one of the new consoles at launch pretty much for the novelty. Now I'm fine with waiting for some exclusive games. I was planning to get an XB1 eventually but now when I do, it'll be one without Kinect.

First post nails it.

I've been burned by MS too many times. Plus I want to cut down on how much I spend on games and consoles cluttering the house as I get older.

I actually don't like most of Microsoft's games anymore which is what makes it an easy decision. Never been into Halo or Forza. Not into racing games at all actually. Ninja Gaiden, DOA, Bioware rpgs - all good reasons to own xbox in the past are multiplat now. Fable went down the shitter after Fable 2.

I can never say never but at this point I think it would take a complete resurrection of the classic Rare to get me to jump in.
