Are you interested in buying a $399 Xbox One without Kinect?

Having a technically inferior piece of hardware means nothing to about 60millon of the 80millon Or so people who bought the xbox360. Just because your have stronger hardware doesn't make the console or PC better. It'd all in the software. Saying we have 12gigwatts and you have 3poopygig means absolutely nothing . is the ps4 hardware more powerful ,yes is it going to be a huge differentiator , no. Its what is done with the engines and IPS that will make the difference. I built my PC for about $700, it's more powerful than both the ps4 and Xbox one and all I play is league of legends because its effing awesome.
The awe of pretty Graphics only last so long, most of the time every game has crappy multiplayer graphics and that's what is played more so I'm the end it really doesn't matter.
At $399 the Xbox sounds better than $499 Xbox but like you said lost its biggest addon feature . this basically means that kinect will die out. D
Now at $399 would I want the Xbox over the ps4 well like I said it depends on software because 80% of the games will be available on both. I had the ps4 at launch but.mine died 2 times so I gave up and I'm waiting for e3 to decide who's getting my money again .

Personally, no. I already have three current gen systems. (PS4, PC, and WiiU)

However, I'm now able to recommend the system to people without feeling guilty.

More interested yes, but I already have a PS4. So... probably going to wait for a few more price drops and perhaps a slim model.

Nope, not at the moment, maybe later after price drops and more exclusives arrive, as I will only have it for exclusives.

Instead, I'm going to go out today and buy my son his own PS4, and then we will have two in our household.

No, my PC is 4 years old almost and still better then both consoles "480GTX i7-930". I will be getting a PS4 eventually for destiny, infamous ss, FFXV, KH3 and whatever other exclusives. MS would have to come out with a pretty amazing exclusive for me to give the to give the Xbox one the slightest consideration. Hell my 360 hasn't been turned on since i finished gears 3.

A Kinectless SKU does interest me, but for the foreseeable future, I'm eyeing the PS4 for my "main" console. And I won't be getting a PS4 anytime soon.

Not right now, though it's a bit tempting tbh. I was considering getting one for Sunset Overdrive (love insomniac)but found myself underwhelmed by the latest trailer.

If that rumored Platinum exclusive gets localized and looks good, I'll reconsider. It might be a bit cheaper by then too.

Nope, it would be like going back to an ex that was messing around behind your back. Sure I would have fun at first, but I would always be waiting for them to screw me over again.

When I learn more about the rumored Platinum exclusive yes.

Might wait out for a white colored bone with a game bundled in though. So not anytime soon.

Really interested in sunset overdrive and killer instinct as well.

Unless removing the Kinect suddenly gives it the power to run games as well as the PS4, then no.

It's clearly not on the same level as its competition and needed a much bigger price drop to make it worthwhile.

haha OMG dude I'm so surprised some MS apologists havent said the xboxone will be more powerful now that it doesnt have to process the kinects data or whatever haha. Its just like the cloud!! super gaming power!

I'm not interesting in buying an Xbox One at price parity with the PS4. They're moving in the right direction though as I would flat out not purchase it at any price if the Kinect was still included.

It needs to not have Kinect in the box (check), be at least $50 less than a PS4, and have some exclusive games I'm interested in playing (not there yet, but I'm sure it'll happen at some point during this gen).

Not right now. Kinect was at least a differentiator that could give the system a little more value but now it's just the same price for weaker hardware and no Kinect which means they're still not in a great position. Some people that own an X1 have said that the menus are designed around the Kinect and make it easier and we all remember how MS pushed it as the next big thing that they weren't going to abandon, so now it sends another mixed message.

I'll wait until there's more games I want and it's cheaper. I've always said that when the price drop happens, it would have to be cheaper than the PS4 or at least keep the Kinect or else you still look like a worse value in comparison.

Sure, of course this helps. I'm still slightly more interested in the PS4, but this made the xbone a lot more competitive in my mind. I have no interest in Kinect so not having to pay $100 for something I don't want is great.

See MS this is why you don't do things like this. $400 with Kinect was the sweet spot. Now you have nerfed Kinect and many of the people who complained don't want it anyway.

Very little to do with price. More about power and as someone who mainly plays multiplat 792p is not going to cut it. Was all about Xbox the previous 10 years so my disappointment is strong.

Not really to be honest. I don't have a next gen console, but the one I will be getting is a PS4 simply because of Sony's first party studios, specifically Naughty Dog.

£350 here, which is a whole lot more to pay for. No, still too pricey and not enough exclusives I want to play to justify a purchase. I can see myself getting one at £250 when Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break are out (providing they're good), plus a couple more enticing exclusives that I don't know about. But for now, no.

No, there just nothing about the console that would justify me buying it. Between my ps4, WiiU, ipad and gaming PC I'm pretty set for this generation.

No as I already have a PS4. Perhaps if it had launched that way I might have gone a different way but given the hardware difference, their initial DRM stance and potential exclusives like Project Beast I don't see a reason to pick one up.

I still think it was a good move by Microsoft it just doesn't have direct appeal for me.

Very interested. Maybe by this fall. Definitely by Halo 5 though

And mother of god if I don't have one when Crackdown 3 launches

I better be knee deep in a Vietnamese brothel strung out on crack if such was the case

I'm not sure I'd play an Xbox One even if it was given to me.

The only thing I can think of that might make me jealous would be if Rare was back in proper form with a Banjo or Banjo-esque game on the system.
