Are you interested in buying a $399 Xbox One without Kinect?

I'll get one eventually. Bought a PS4 last night, so not in any rush.

When I do, I'll likely get the Kinect-less SKU unless there's a REAL compelling reason to do otherwise.
 
Nope. Had a PS3 and an Xbox 360 last gen and found it to be a complete waste of money to have both consoles. Hitched my wagon on the Playstation side of things (I'm a big portable gamer and I also find incredible value with PS+) so I'm going to simply stick with a PS4.
 
Nope. Give me a $299 slim version, then we'll talk. I'll probably get a Wii U before that ever happens, though. That seems to be a different enough experience than what I get on PS4, but really it's getting harder to justify two consoles that are basically the same outside of some exclusives.
 
Nope. It's not about the price for me. Xbox One just doesn't offer anything I want that I can't get better somewhere else.
 
I want to be, but I've realised over the last few months that I just don't have time anymore for multiple consoles. I'm struggling to keep up with a last gen backlog and PS4 games as it is.

Glad to see they came to their senses though and got rid of Kinect!
 
I don't think so. I kind of want the Kinect with it, so I'm going to save some money, then wait until a great deal for the Kinect version comes along.

Still not enough to entice me (I've stepped down from the whole MS tried to screw us with drm so I'll never touch the xbone with a 10 ft pole position) but maybe someday after their stable of exclusives fills out
 
Nope, and I don't know if any price will do it with what's out. Were MS to secure some Japanese game exclusives, I'd strongly consider it, but not now.

If that Kamiya rumor is true though, then I may have to get one at some point.
 
I am more interested than I was before, but still not very interested at the moment. I had zero interest in Kinect, so this might as well have been a price drop. Thing is, I already got a PS4, and PS4 is going to have better multiplats, so it really comes down to the exclusives being worth the price. I haven't seen that much I'm interested in, but the lower price is a lower bar for those games to pass. May have a better idea after E3.
 
I haven't purchased any next-gen console yet, but my preference remains with PS4. I don't have enough time/money to put into video games to buy more than one console. Besides my preference for certain Sony franchises, I also prefer PS+ to XBL and the fact that the PS4 is a more powerful machine. The focus on VR, PS Now, and indies is more appealing to me than XB1's seeming focus on TV and Kinect.

Achieving price parity just eliminates one of the many advantages PS4 has over the Xbox One, in my eyes, and even hitting a $350 price point wouldn't sway my decision as of now. Can't really see what would, other than a severe price advantage ($300) or major, heavy hitting exclusives, but PS4's ~3 million console lead makes the latter even less likely.
 
Only slightly. Seeing as I'd still be out $200 for a fight stick to go with the only exclusive that interests me, its still looking too pricey.
 
The added price of Kinect was only one of the reasons I was not interested in an Xbone. I have a 360 and have loved it but Microsoft does nothing for me from a First Party perspective so now that multiplatform games will almost certainly perform better on PS4, I have no reason to get an Xbone.

I joke. But seriously, still not interested until I see some compelling games. I'll see what e3 brings announcement-wise.

Edit: Plus when it's smaller. I'll be all in for a slim at $299ish sometime next year ;)
 
Nope. After going Xbox-only for the previous 2 generations, I'm done with MS after the initial screwup and already bought a PS4. I only want/need/can deal with one console per gen.

I'm also enjoying how every XO news are followed by exactly the same thread.

Here's my reasons:

1. Still don't trust Microsoft to not bring back the anti-consumer policies. After all that time and money spent I have a strong feeling at least some part of it will rear it's ugly head. Sure they've changed a lot of policies now but for how long?

2. Already have a PS4 which eliminates third party games as it plays them better

3. MS, for me, have too few exclusives and the quality just isn't as good as what I get on PlayStation. It's also too 'dudebro'

4. I'm not paying another sub to play online especially when Gold isn't on par with PS+

5. The price is still ridiculous for underpowered hardware. Even price parity with the PS4 isn't good enough because it just can't produce content on par (talking about third party here, also some exclusives)

6. I don't trust MS to continue with more exclusives. Look at the OG xbox. Cut dead as soon as the 360 came out. Then around 2010 the 360 started getting more and more Kinect games and a severe lack of core exclusives. I would have been pissed seeing the PS3 was flooded with AAA exclusives

7. Don't want to spend all my time gaming. PS4 will be more than enough

8. The xbone cannot stand vertically. This simply means I have nowhere to put it. My PS4 stands vertically and just about fits on my unit. I don't have space for a horizontal bigger console.

9. Not a fan of the controller. The 360's controller is actually better.
 
Absolutely.

But They still have yet to show me games that I actually want to play. I don't see myself buying an XB1 till after E3 if at all. Depends on who has the better showing.
 
it was the only interesting thing left about the console. now that it's no longer mandatory the chances of anything interesting happening with kinect went from very low to non existent. too bad.

But in a few years it means I don't need to buy kinect and I don't need a subscription to use the damn thing.

So it'll make a nice purchase as a secondary console to play any exclusives I might have missed (single player... assuming there are some that appeal to me). It does kill any reason to make it my primary console, but that wasn't going to happen anyway.

... So the xbox one is basically the same as a WiiU to me now. Hmm.
 
Not at $399, but it's a start. They need more 1st/2nd party exclusives like Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break (though I'm sure the latter will get a PC port at some point in the future, given the dev's history).
 
Its the right price...but most of the games I want are multiplatform...I'm not gonna buy another $400 console to play inferior multiplats...

Assuming Halo 5 and Forza 6 are fall 2015 releases...that's when I'll bite...
 
I'm 100% getting a XBONE now. Not yet though, I'll wait when it comes out here in The Netherlands in September.
I just can't miss out on the upcoming exclusives like Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Crackdown 3 etc...

And the XBONE controller feels better in my hands than the DS4. It really feels like putting on gloves, I wasn't expecting that.
And I can use my Eneloop AA batteries with it, that's great!

MS is out for blood, bring it on E3!
 
Nope. Between my PC, PS4, Wii U, Dreamcast, Gamecube, 3DS, Vita, I'm covered for games as is. My brother in law has a X1 though, so I play Killer Instinct on that sometimes.
 
Yeah i am interested in a xbox one without kinect. Microsoft has not really shown me the worth of even having kinect. Sure the voice commands are cool but ps4 can do that with a mic and without having to add a $100 dollars to the system.

When it comes to games the kinect fairs even less as the dream of a better kinect producing better kinect games seem to have dead pretty fast. There is no push for any kinect games and the only kinect game that was remotely showcased was kinect sports rivals. Looking at that game it seem like no core games will live up to the promise that was made with the first kinect.

So in short if you are stretching your talents to thin you need to refocus and put your all in doing one thing amazing. Lets hope that is giving us awesome games, than they can worry about making kinect useful later.
