Are you interested in buying a $399 Xbox One without Kinect?

i am, i was waiting for after E3 but have already preordered with this announcement. i love KI and GOW but dispised kinect . Glad they allowed variety.

Not yet, need to see a good deal more Microsoft funded exclusives.

However this was a step in the right direction as far as a potential purchase from me is concerned.

Nope. The Xbox One would have to have A-M-A-Z-I-N-G exclusives for me to even think about buying one. Right now it doesn't have that. The only thing that even comes close to piquing my interest is Sunset Overdrive and who knows what that will be like.

Somewhat but I think to myself. What would it be now if DRM wasn't shunned upon or if they had the console lead? At the moment they're just saying what we want to hear. Reminds of the first season of breaking bad when they had crazy 8 in the basement. He sure told a good tale to get free but man he had a nasty surprise waiting lol. I don't trust them.

Eventually, when I buy an Xbox 1, I'll likely go with the Kinect Version because I like the tech. Till then my PS4 with Eye suits me fine.

I wasn't interested and still aren't, but I agree with the op that removing kinect dilutes what an Xbox one is 'supposed to be' and fragments their market. I think they should've stuck to their guns over its inclusion. But they don't really have a track record of seeing things out lately so it shouldn't really be a surprise.

Nop. i know that i will eventually buy one, maybe in 2 years minimum, unless there´s a exclusive title that makes me change my mind.

PS4/PSV + PC = my everyday.

I will wait until after E3 but yes I am at least interested at this point. Kinectless is not enough for me to dive in but if Quantum Break turns out as good as I hope and I see the next Halo, Gears and whatever else is up their sleeve over the next few months I may take the plunge. Show me the games!

I can't put my finger on it but Sunset Overdrive Isn't doing it for me. I am glad to see so many excited for it though.

nope, no games I want on either system to drop $400, first gen I witness when the first year is pretty dry. remakes and remasters do nothing to me. Infamous caught my eye and PS4 is a better deal but still I'm not gonna drop cash on either.

Im getting pretty interested. Sunset Overdrive and Halo 2 HD (which isn't confirmed but we all know is coming) is very tempting.

If the rumor that platinum is making the 'secret Japanese game' is true that'll really settle it.

Only if they drop some crazy megaton at E3, like Shenmue 3 + Shenmue 1 and 2 HD, or Sonic Adventure 3, or Lost Odyssey 2, or Phantom Dust 2.

Otherwise I'll probably just wait a few years for a redesign. The Halo games are tempting but that's about it, and I have friends who will be living close to me who will almost assuredly get one when new Halo games drop so I can just play that at their place.

Unless if they have an exclusive Final Fantasy or Metal Gear that will only appear on the Xbox One and never get ported to any current or future consoles then nope.

I guess the only way I'll ever own a Xbox One is if someone gives it to me as a gift or if it's $10

I'm really considering it.

I refuse to pay for two online subscriptions, so I'd be forced to drop PS+. Despite a great value I feel it could be worth it considering Microsoft seems to have a bigger focus on the kinds of online multiplayer games I'd like. Titanfall, Gears of War, and Halo for starters. These would all be new to me. I enjoy CoD and they pay to get the maps first. I'm definitely considering it.

I'm curious if anyone posted here when the price was announced saying they would only buy it without Kinect for $399 but still won't buy one? Personally I think Microsoft missed an opportunity and should have priced it lower than the PS4.

No. I have a PS4, so it's unlikely that any multiplatform title would be better on the XB1 given its inferior hardware.

So then it boils down to games (and ecosystems).

Right now, the only XB1 exclusive that truly interests me is Sunset Overdrive. I stopped playing Halo after Halo 2, never got into Gears of War, and I can't actually think of any other big exclusives off the top of my head. Not a racing guy so Forza/Driveclub are meaningless to me.

Definitely would not want to be paying monthly/yearly for XBox Live either if the vast majority of online games I'd be playing (multiplatform) would be on the PS4.

All that said, I think Microsoft has done the right thing in dropping Kinect and the price. Truthfully, the price cut should've been deeper; a barebones XB1 is not worth as much as a barebones PS4. But that's something that can happen in the future I suppose.

In the end, it is all about the games, and at least we're hearing that from Microsoft now. Whether or not they have a worthwhile lineup of in-house exclusives remains to be seen.

No because it still lacks good support and exclusives and it's weaker than ps4. even if it was 200 dollars i wouldn't buy it. Eventhe Wii U has more interesting games IMO.

No. None of the current/potential MS exclusives interest me.

Also, MS has lost my trust. They've essentially made the XBone a less powerful PS4. I guess their integrated Kinect experience was all a load of BS.

I have trust issues with MS right now, it would need to get some major exclusives for me even to consider. Sunset Overdrive doesn't even interests me. But I'm very happy and supportive of those who find fun in the xbone, everyone should just play their games and have fun.

No interest in owning 2 consoles full priced right now. Gut feeling MS will ditch X1 way faster than 360. They also need to branch out. SO is a breath of fresh air. But if Halo, Gears, Titanfall, and COD DLC continue to be their main focuses, i probably won't pick it up till dirt cheap.

Nope. The thing that was drawing me to the XBO was actually Kinect as I was seeing it as a console that I could play different games on with my kids. The price if that SKU hasn't changed so my buying hasn't changed.

If I weight it up as a console for me, then the PS4 still blows it away. It's significantly more powerful and has a better indy scene. All the multiplats will come to both so really PS4 is miles ahead.

PS4 is my first buy. I wasn't going to buy a One before it came without Kinect, so now that that has already happened I will just wait for the $299 price.

The only two games MS has that I am interested in right now are Project Spark, and Sunset Overdrive. I won't buy multiplatform games for the Xbox One so it comes down to the exclusives that will make my purchase worth it, and I'm not seeing enough on that side at the moment to justify buying one.

No. In the unlikely event that something happened at E3 that made me interested in getting one, I'd probably go for the $499 Titanfall+Kinect bundle.

I dont think either of these consoles are even remotely appealing yet regardless of prices or accessories. Waiting until they actually pull down some solid software before I even consider buying anything.

It won't be the next JRPG machine and will probably even have less JRPGs than the 360 so no.

I was already going to get one. This only seals the deal, now.

Considering me and my friends play online via xbox live, it only makes sense to keep going that route. We've got gamerscore we don't want to give up. And we also play fantasy football, so if that feature turns out to be good on the XBone, this is a for sure sale from me.
