I always disliked Rockstar, but I'll probably get it down the line, anyway. It's not like my 20 dollars on it have any sort of importance here.

Yes but Rockstar really need to fix how their games control and feel to play. RDR2 controlled like absolute crap and felt terrible to play honestly. Hopefully they make GTA 6 much more fluid.

I want to say no because I want the PC version, but if I'm completely honest, I can't see myself not buying the PS5 version when it arrives.

Will wait on the PC version. And if I already have to wait for months/a year I might as well keep waiting and get it on sale.

I have zero interest in it. GTA doesn't exactly hold up to me in terms of gameplay. It was great fun when there was nothing else comparable (GTA3 era), GTA4 at least still had the story and atmosphere going for it, which were unmatched by then. GTA5 is plain boring both in terms of gameplay as well as story, and I don't see this becoming better with GTA6.

It's a nice tech demo, at best, and a good playground for 12year olds who steal their parents credit cards to buy shark cards.

NOPE. I can give them credit that they can create super detailed world, the problem is they just fun to play.

I like the endless possibilities of gameplay choices in western games but only if done right.

Purchase #1: Day one XSX.
Purchase #2: Day one PC release.
Purchase #3: Switch 2 on sale later down the line.

I'll play it at some point for sure. I'm in no rush though. The older PS2 games had a vibe that I loved, the newer ones don't have that. Took me ages to complete GTAV.

I legitimately don't understand people's obsession with the series. It doesn't do anything new or different anymore, except for its dated mission design - that's not a positive.

Production values. There's nothing else even close to it's weight class in gaming. It's the lone heavyweight in the division.

Nah. I tried 4 and 5 before and I just find the general gameplay pretty boring.

I like a more fantastical setting for that kind of game ala Cyberpunk

50% off - PC. Also, I would def need to upgrade my gpu (1080gtx)
You will def be able to hit like 30fps at 1080p High settings or close. Unless it ends up being one of those 'you need a RTX capable gpu' games that are starting to creep into gaming.
Consoles will probably be targeting around 1440p at 30fps, so a 1080 will def be able to do 1080p.

As for the OP, i'm on PC so have to wait but i'm not even certain i will be buying it.
My love for GTA has wained over recent years, and no one will convinve me this wont be watered down compared to past games.

I like the Red Dead games, but I've never been able to get into GTA. I tried 3, 4, and 5 and they never grab me. I always fall off after a few hours.

Really depends for me, I feel like GTA has done everything. Am I interested? Sure. But I really don't know what else they could do that would make me go, "Holy shit, I need that, and right now."

Game grew its popularity over the course of 25 years. Each new main entry had more players there than the previous. GTA online definitely also helped.
