I accidentally googled the actress and read her wiki page, it said she was appearing in Arrow as Sara. GodDamn spoilered myself.

Actually, technically speaking Shado is second Green Arrow. Seeing that she took up the clothes and pretty much his act after Yao Fei's death. I presume Ollie wears it out of his feelings for Shado rather than Yao Fei.

The show is really coming together in the second season. I'm actually starting to look forward to each episode.

Hopefully it never degenerates to Smallville levels of mediocrity.

I typically spoil myself with all shows that I watch, because I'm a weak man. But I'm considering dropping that for Arrow, going as far as not watching the promo or reading the blurb for the next episode. Show moves fast enough that going in blind I presume is more exciting.

Not that this thread needs another recap, but here's mine anyway

Pros:

  • Holy shit, Black Canary rules! Also, Chucker is right: BC = body count. Now that crazy Ollie is no more, Black Canary is the murderous asshole we need.
  • Wait, I'd like to recant that; Ollie is still crazier than a bag of wet cats. How the fuck do you grow a moral bone and then go on to torture folks just cuz?
  • Black Canary looks GOOD in leathers.

  • Sweaty, half naked training with the Diggster. Sure, why not?
  • Some quality time with Detective Chesthair in this episode. Or is it Officer Chesthair?
  • Man, that villain was the nastiest so far. He was some seriously sick puppy.
  • LOL at the Doll Maker picking Laurel. Come on son, I've seen clowns with less make up.

  • I loved all the little DC references; Channel52, Metamorpho, the red arrow...
  • Felicity was well used. Too much nerding over a character can ruin her/him pretty fast, so I'm glad the writers made her useful instead of shipping her along the Tumblrs.
  • Man, Roy's charisma upgrade continues to pay for itself BIG TIME. He went from being an insufferable prat to becoming a decent character.
  • Step off, Abercrombie. Lol.
  • Lawyer Paul has the most vile of the toupees. I mean, Ollie's island wig is pretty bad, but I really want to punch Lawyer Paul in the face.

  • They fixed Laurel! I mean, I'm sure the writers will find a way to make her worthless again, but I liked that they dropped that broody attitude so soon in the season. We skipped a bullet there.
  • Moira banged Meryl. Teehee.
  • DAMN @ those island scenes. I guess we now know why Slade hates Ollie's guts.
  • So far almost every scene on the island has been golden.
  • Ras drop!
  • Wow, so BC was trained by the League of Shadows? This explains everything.
  • I honestly thought that Meryl had come back from the dead when I saw that assassin (?) It certainly gives some credence to the notion of the League/Ras training him and maybe even being behind the incident at the Glades.

Cons:
  • The boat's CGI was pretty awful. I wonder if Lost's sub will make a guest appearance.

So basically, those were some fuck awesome 40 minutes of TV.

Not arrow but this show makes me wonder why there isn't a knight wing show. Would be perfect for CW. all beautiful college people and could have a batman show without using batman.

Thats hilarious, just before the latest episode I was thinking they should
Kill Laurel and have Sara come back and eventually become Black Canary, maybe using Laurel's identity at times.

But I reeeaaally like that face. And considering last episode, there might be hope for her yet.

And thank god. The breakneck speed of the show is one of the many things that makes it so good. I was worried they were slowing down this season, but after last episode I think they are still keeping the pedal to the floor.

The moment I knew Arrow wasn't bullshittin was when Detective Lance accused Ollie of being the vigilante in like episode 5. Other shows would have dragged that shit out for years.

Really? I wish you spoiler tagged that because I would like to be blissfully ignorant in my belief this series is going to have long healthy career.

The Flash crossover is already bothersome enough. This...bah.

I am pumped so much for this upcoming episode. It will be cool to confirm if that was KGbeast or Scarecrow in the previews.
Also we'll finally move into the plot line with Glau.

Thea won't happen. Moira is more likely since every prison badass has a workout scene.

[edit]Hopefully they leave Ollie out of such a scene. No need to give last years slash fanfiction writers more ammunition.
