Just did this fanart yesterday having some crossover fun with "El Ministerio del Tiempo" (The Mininstry of Time) and Doctor Who. El Ministerio del Tiempo is a spanish sci-fi adventure series about a secret ministry in the spanish government, that tries to fix fuck up moments in time (by villians) so the history as we know it doesn't change for someone's convenience. It follows the steps of a team of new recruits (a 1500's spanish soldier, one of the first women to go to university in Spain in the 1880's, and a modernday guy that his wife was killed 2 years back), while they unravel the mystery and secrets that surrounds the Ministry. The first season just finished yesterday and renewed for a second season thanks to the fans on the internet creating a big fan following and having amazing reviews thanks to its huge quality never seen in spanish TV (it has mediocre TV viewings, but those are false because of how they are read, and the web viewings are real and much higher).
Its only similarity to Doctor Who is that they can travel through time and space (not with a machine but thanks to an infinite stairway with millions of doors) and that they visit old history important moments (they cant go to the future). So its also educational, something this country severly needs.

BTW the drawing its done in a similar artstyle of Uderzo in the Asterix comics. Its Velazquez (an important and funny character inside the show) telling the other characters that a madman just parked his blue box and its messing his scene of Las Meninas.

My friend also did a fanart, this time as an animated gif like a videogame. We are using the same artstyle for a game we are doing right now.

Sorry for the Instagram filters but here are some sketches I do sometimes:

It says "Postdam" but it's "Potsdam". Done on the train back from Potsdam to Berlin the other day when I visited Germany.

Sketches done on a coffee shop while taking a break from so much tourism.

And here random sketches I do during meetings (yep, I bring copic markers to my meetings too)

I noticed I never sketch anything related to what I'm working on during my meetings. Oh well, guess it's some way of taking a break!

Sketches done on the train back from visiting some temples late last year.

^ Looks great! What kind of pens are you using for sketching?

I do most sketches with a black 0.4mm HI-TEC-C Pilot:

The two pics from the bottom are made with it.

The other sketches are all done with a ZIG Letterpen "Cocoiro":

Basically a somewhat stiff brush pen. It's cheap here in Japan, easy to grab and pretty small.

Also your Ohmu is lovely. You need to take some pics with some different lighting though, your work deserves it :p The current photo has a bit of noise.

Incredible stuff, Mik2121. Beautiful!

Just posting here some of the stuff I'm doing for a game I've working on for the past year or so.
Hope I'm not spamming or anything...

I don't think I've ever posed in this thread. Noticed in the OP it says game related though... Is that a must?

Nah, I've been browsing it and there's a lot of work that isn't game-related.

I think I'd like to do something specifically for this thread though or something game-related.

Yeah figured... next question - guessing 3D isn't allowed?

Not sure, took all my 3D stuff out since it was so out of place with all the drawings/illustrations. Felt like I was shitting up the thread.

Alright well look, if these are out of place, let me know and I'll remove them - I completely understand, don't worry. And apologies if this is spam or whatever... again, just let me know.

I'm looking to make a dedicated 3D (and possibly animation) GAF thread over the summer, so until then I'll drop a few recent(ish) things here. It's not all 3D, in fact the majority of it is mixed media:

Programs used: My hand/mind, Autodesk Maya 2015, Mandelbulb3D, Vue xStream 10, Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Thanks! If this is well received I'll share some more in the future. More drawings, too, I promise!

Im in freaking love with all of this.

I dunno, I was analyzing it myself while I drew it. He types 'didn't have the guts to say "hi" or anything', so maybe he just ran off? I suppose only Gaf-Man knows (or Lionel Mandrake).

Also, for completeness sake I suppose, this was meant to be the post at the bottom to capture the truest experience but wouldn't have worked without completely changing the original panel layout.

That is amazing. I think you're better than me.

I wish I had more time to draw/ With this new bullshit draw I basically have no time. I get off at 5, but the walk home is over an hour and when I get home I fill out more applications while posting on here, eat, and then go to sleep. This job is way too dangerous too.

I haven’t had much time due to school these past couple months, but an upcoming miniatures show provided me the opportunity knock out a couple of pieces without much of a time investment needed.

Thank you! I have done a bunch more since I posted that, plus a lot of stuff I've done before that I didn't post either. I think in general sketching things with a pen just makes it look better than anything else, heh! The sketches themselves are... whatever :p

But if you like it, you might like some of the stuff I did for my travel journal when I went to India...

This is just 4 out of 14 or so pages that I made during that trip.

I've also done something similar for my trip to Berlin a few weeks ago but haven't finished it yet (got a couple pages left).

Ok....
Thats freaking amazing.
I always have loved that style of drawing with pen using lines for shadows, etc... Never did great trying to emulate it.
And to think I was proud of the guide I did for some friends for disneyland paris, and that was mostly photoshop lol.

Most of the stuff on the pages I posted are just time-consuming easy stuff though! Except maybe for the train sketch and the palace on the bottom right :p

Here's some stuff I did this morning at work while waiting for some stuff to be done and whatnot.

None of the sketches make much sense... :p

I think those totally make sense. And they are lovely. Love the temple atop of the mountain and the tower ruins.
The space ones are also great.
