Well, I do everything I guess. I use to do Superman, GI Joe, Jurassic Park, and little bit of Batman action figures. And then I worked on Reboot, Beast Wars and other CG TV shows. And then I did a little bit of videogame stuff. Now I do vehicles and electronics toys for my current job.SHAZOOM said:Hey Shog. Quick question. What exactly do you do? I'm guessing character vehicle designs for a toy company? I just kind of skimmed the thread.

No rest for the weary.

Inspired by designer Rob Sheridan. All oils this time. I might revisit it later and alter it some more.
I don't know what kind of program you were in, but don't let that get you down. I really didn't have a good experience in high school with art either. I decided in the end of my freshman year to go into the art field, and I started taking a class that summer so I could have an art each year of high school. However... They were pretty awful. Nobody in class that was actually into art, they just took the class as a required elective to get out of the way. The teacher was... less than stellar. Like the one time she cut up one of my classmate's pieces because she "thought it would look better like a stained glass." Yeah.ArtistDude88 said:Unfortunately I am only "ArtistDude88" by name these days, as I barely do anything more than a doodle in MSpaint every blue moon anymore. AP art in high school really crushed my joy in doing artsy things, lol.
I don't have one ready at the moment, but I can get one to you later. I'll PM you it later. Any particular resolution or do you just want a really big image to work with?Cosmic Bus said:I dig all of yours, too, but would you happen to have a biiig version of this one in particular? I'd love to have it as my wallpaper.
Shogmaster said:Dude, with your skillz you'll find something very soon.
Some lines from second movie (well after the movie came out), and Chaos Effect, a stillborn animation line. Me and Wayne Losey (my team design lead at the time) pretty much came up with all the dinosaur designs for the Chaos Effect line (Chimeras of different dinosaurs).

These are in chronological order, with the first four being done with the brush and manually selecting the size of it and lightening the colors. The others were done using the lasso and radial gradient.
I didn't do any of the linework for these, I just searched deviant art for stuff.

The illustration prompt was 'Warning'. I decided to do some practice illustrations because I feel inadequate lately.

There's a certain part that I need to fix now that everyone has been looking at it lol...
I love Iron Giant
Raging Spaniard said:Thats an excellent piece! Well done!
btw, you should be more informative on how to contact you in your online galleries, if you were in the NYC area there might be some people who might wanna hook you up with opportunities, etc.
Foxy Fox 39 said:I guess you've seen my gallery then eh? (I don't put everything up there) You're right though. I should put my info up there...though I don't live in NY.
Raging Spaniard said:Yeah like, if you have a main blog or website somewhere else with your info then at least link to it. Part of being a successful artist is always letting people know how to reach you.
And yeah I looked you up on DA, you might have noticed somebody with my username started following you

[/QUOTE]Have you heard of James Jean? These works are similar to some of his paintings. I've always liked this style, great work.
Thanks, man!Dali said:Wow, very nice. I like the more-saturated look of the next to the last the most, but they all look like they'd be right at home in the pages of any major book.

The one you mentioned is my favorite. I think Colossus is what makes it and he damn well better, too -- I spent 2 or 3 hours on him alone. lol
