This I did yesterday, I wanted to try my hand at practicing adding more detail to drawings:

I wouldn't worry about adding detail if you're drawing with a mouse, better to stick with pencil and paper 'til you get a tablet. If you're stuck with a mouse though, get into sprite art

Also, another thing I always recommend is to downsize your pick when you post them online.

I finally got my portfolio/website up and running which Im happy to finally have done.
Ive built it myself from scratch so its taken a while, but its been thouroughly rewarding.

Ahhh, I recently stumbled upon your comic a few weeks ago and it inspired me to get back into pixel art

Okay just gonna throw in a few quick remarks then!

1. Have you looked at references for Flamingo Beak anatomy? You're fine to draw them the way you want, but the way a flamingo beak is structured is possibly by far one of their most unique features, I think it's really worth looking into how they actually look in real life so you can make your guys look true to, well, actual "flamingo design".

Stylizing is awesome and something I'm a big fan of, but their beaks don't remind me of a real flamingo at all. (not gonna post references myself, as I'm sure you can find them, heheh)

2. there's barely any AA on the lines for the flamingo legs at all, this makes them look very very jagged, I think you've got enough of a yellow palette to make these legs look a lot smoother than they are right now, so personally I'd put a bit more effort into that.


3. I'd also look for some guides on (a) wing anatomy, and (b) how exactly wings look on a flamingo, your wings remind me more of the Galapagos Cormorant. (flightless bird, worth googling.)

Been doing some graphic design freelancing for a friend of mine's lazertag place. Just finished the brochure. Everything on this was done by me, except the CMP logo, which he had to retain from a previous person. Other than that, all the photography and logowork are mine. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (don't mind the borders, those are just how I put up images on my website.
