I know it would take longer, but I think it would be beneficial to make every round a best of 3.
Too much randomness can completely impact a single match.

I thought you had it for sure. The mid game had all monsters in the center and i had very little to deal with that, I recovered a bit but you had a killer last turn and I was quite surprised by the results. Great game though.soldat7 said:Against insurmountable odds, octobot narrowly defeats the formerly undefeated and seemingly undefeatable (1-0 lifetime) soldat7 with a score of 74-72.
Great game!

Yeah the middle dominated by monsters which is why I went a damage focused route, got some favorable draws throughout so there was plenty to kill. I was worried about the cards you were amassing and the end score was alot closer than the 30 point difference prior to the final tallyeznark said:Considering I always try to build to constructs and f' monsters I was totally boned the first half of that game. Set up good for a mild comeback though!

Good game dude! I was tense as hell on my last turn there. You had a monster hand that third from last I think it was.

Wow, awesome tourney, folks! Once I get back home from vacation, I'll open signups for the next tournament. What are we thinking for rules...best 2 out of 3? 3 games and cumulative score goes forward? Swiss-style tournament (everybody gains points based on wins/losses/draws), where we have a set # of rounds and no eliminations? Let me know what everybody thinks and I'll get started on working it.

I only have and can play 4 cards.
Don't give up! Play the AI on easy a bunch of times and you'll start to get the feel for things.Keasar said:I have decided to put this game down for now after my 12th lost match in a row. It is "fun" for a while, but I just cant handle being so bad at it without any visible improvements.![]()

AstroLad said:hey kj, just throwing it out there, but do you think we could do a world-cup-style tournament? groups of 4 or so where you play everyone and the top two qualify for the knockout stages? if people really hate one-offs we could even make knockouts best of 3. i'm cool with whatever though, just a thought.

Ascension: Return of the Fallen is the first in-app expansion for the popular deck building iOS game Ascension: Chronicle of the Godlsayer. Ascension: Return of the Fallen is quick to learn and easy to play. Game play revolves around a Center Deck containing Heroes, Constructs and Monsters; and players take turns recruiting Heroes or Constructs for their decks or defeating Monsters to earn honor and ultimate victory. New cards are revealed every turn, forcing players to react and ensuring that each game is dynamic and unique.
Continuing the epic struggle which began in Chronicle of the Godslayer, Vigil is threatened again as Samael the Fallen God has returned in his true form, intent on obliterating your world.
