Such a disappointment after the excellent Black Flag. Leave it to UBI to fuck something up this badly.

I can't believe they let it out the door in this state.

I'm pretty sure all the videos popping around depicting this game's flaws (horrible fps, pop in like Dragon's Dogma, janky animations, glitches everywhere, people falling from the sky, the player sunking from Paris straight into the Ash Lake, the now fabled monster mug, and many many more) are nothing but fabrications, montages created to shed negative light on this technical masterpiece. I would blame Monolith. They're probably behind it all, still being salty as fuck at Ubi for having thrown shade at them weeks before release. They're controlling everything from the shadows. This game has zero problems, it's everybody's ps4/x1 that is faulty.

This is AC1 all over again ffs.

This is what blows my mind. How did they think it'd be okay to release a game with such a terrible frame rate? There is no way in hell any amount of patching is going to get it to a stable 30FPS. They just put out a fucked game like it ain't no thing.

I'm glad you posted this... I now know that the framerate thing is blown out of proportion. I didn't have a problem with the other games

After watching some videos from Gamersyde I have to say it's still bearable. Reminds me a little of AC3. Not the kind of performance you'd expect to see a year into the new generation, but the game is still on my to-buy list.

I expected it to run like dog shit and it's actually been very playable and pretty damn good so far. I don't hope Arno dies a fiery death like I did Connor. He's actually quite likeable and I actually want to continue playing. An hour or two into AC3 and I wanted to call it quits; and that feeling never went away.

If you find it fine then that's great. But sub 30 fps frame rates in the later part of last gen is what sent me back to PC and is certainly not an overblown issue. It gives me head aches and is really distracting. I don't want this to be a trend again. 30 locked with just the odd slip up to mid 20's on a rare occasion should be the rock bottom baseline.

If you can't do that you are pushing the hardware to hard. Save your extra eye candy for the PC version if you just have to do it.

That or let me turn off some of the extra stuff to get a better frame rate. Its completely unacceptable to many people.

Anyway, frame rate aside, all the other issues are way clearer indicators of them pushing the hardware to much. The pop in, LOD and other such things are worse than the frame rate drops.

I often think people on this forum overreact and talk complete hyperbole BUT after seeing Unity with my own eyes, its borderline unplayable. The framerate is as bad as some N64 games and even worse in some regards because N64 games had shit framerates but pretty stable shit framerates, Unity's framerate is shit while also fluctuating all over the place.

Just god awful and if any developers of the game are reading this, fuck your game and fuck you. Goodnight.

Misplaced anger, bro. You can bet your ass that the developers were begging for more time to optimize the engine but Ubisoft forced them to release this month.

I was actually going to make something similar with scorpion. But rather it be his skull I was gonna have no texture monster pop up with "toasty"

But my software keeps freezing and I can't be arsed.

Also people should just not buy Ubi games till they are dirt cheap.

Paid full price for first one. On 360 Got 2 second hand for 360. All rest got for sub £5 on steam sales accept ac4 which came bundled with my ps4. Won't be buying this one until its sub £5 on PC either. That way if I hate it I won't care. Simple.

Ubisoft doesn't have the option of not responding and addressing their lies about failing to keep their word about the game running at 30 fps (nextgen console parity). Bugs like the ones seen in this thread also need to be addressed asap. Not to mention the implications that testers at both MS and Sony (during certification) let the game pass knowing full well that game breaking bugs were in the game.

i sincerily want to congratulate Ubisoft for the amazing experience they are providing us with this game, i mean the stuff of nightmares, making the imagination and the creativity of people explode all around, really amazing. I understand that this wasn´t the original intent and that the poor developers must be crying or raging for being forced to unleash this in to the world, but man, this thread is freaking amazing
