Nothing pointed to Unity being released in this state as well, the gameplay videos all looked quite good...

So no, im not giving Ubisoft anymore free passes.

Actually beta footage showed considerable tearing and framerate problems and even when shown at public events it wasn't very flattering.

Also, I suspect dark10x has access to review copies to make a statement like that.

Definitely we don't need to buy this game to enjoy it, it's more enjoyable here with all the pics and videos about bugs. This is being pretty funny.

I'm still curious why he said, "to avoid debates and stuff". We now know that the game is essentially the same graphically on both systems, so there is indeed complete parity. We also know that the engine is running like complete shit on both consoles anyway. So why did he say it?

As I mentioned earlier, I think it was just a way to deflect the question and avoid mentioning that the real reason is that the engine is a complete fucking mess.

I played the game for 2 hours yesterday and it plays and looks great. Only noticed some unimportant little hickups in some cutscenes. The hyperboles and salt in this thread are hilarious, after reading several times that the game would be unplayable and broken I was afraid.
I guess some people are just looking for reasons to bash this game. Haters gonna hate

I played the game on XB1 last night for about an hour or so, just got to sequence 2. I haven't seen any of the weird shit people are posting screens of, and frankly its frame rate is no worse than prior games in the series... *shrug*

The frame-rate in prior console games (before PS4/XO version of IV) was dog shit. The fact that it's running similarly is not an "OK" thing.

I've played about 30 hours on Xbox one review copy and started up ps4 version last night. Never once saw those creepy faces or fell through the world. So it's odd to see so many worrying of these screenshots. On that note, I did laugh at some of these posts lol.

...especially on new-gen hardware. They just keep on making games that are too technically bloated simply because they have better specs to work with, rather than using them for refinement.

Yeah I mean obviously people aren't going to be running around the entire game looking like that. I think people just find it visually hilarious and that's okay. Some of the best games ever can have fun poked at them, but I also think it's partially a way for people to relieve the stress concerning all the bullshit surrounding the game and Ubisoft in general.
