Atomic Heart passes 37,000 concurrent payers on steam with a 88% user score

The english va really sound like your average V from cyberpunk\snarky troy baker.
Hmm… not sure which VA to start with. EN or RU…..

V wasn't that bad tbh.

Breh imagine having to start over mid game. I'm allergic to cringy stuff 😨

Dialogue is a joke, but sometimes funny. Intentionally. Graphics are nice. It's solid and I'm enjoying some of the narrower areas, with the exploration and dealing with the enemies playing dead and hiding.
I have 5 hours in and am taking it slow on Armageddon. Getting to a point, combat-wise, where I'm not even getting touched during battles. The dodge mechanic takes some getting used to and you have to time it in certain situations. Story is sort of interesting, I'm still trying to dance around the notion that this is Russian based, so the spoken dialogue sounds out of place in the setting.

Performance-wise, this game is pretty damned solid, I think I've only seen a few stutters. But, like all configurations, your mileage will vary.
I got MGSRR just in case this game blew, but it looks like I'll be doing a full playthrough before eventually moving on to that one.

Jokes aside, I seriously consider that Steam review page is actually the most adequate form of product judgment that person can research online.

People simply express opinions in expense of their wallet. So majority of reviews stay as realistic as they possibly can. Excluding negligible amount of troll/joke reviews.

Overall, I consider Steam reviews to be the best user review system there is. I point out the reviews that are a few minutes in, but Steam lets you filter out those if you only want to look at those who have spent a substantial amount of time in the game. So yeah, I think Steam reviews are a great resource.

Very good, wish the devs a lot of success, they delivered a great experience so far and what i was hoping for.

From what I've heard in gameplay vids, he's not really on Vs or Troy's level but not as bad as people are making him out to be. The script isn't doing him any services either.

I heard the script gets better the more you play because he stop being an edgy asshole.

Have you tried the Russian VA??

Some say the EN VA is cringy… 😮

Not yet but I will be trying it tonight.

The reason I'm hesitant to is because theres a lot of background dialogue in this game that's all important for world building. If I don't understand that stuff then it might impact my experience negatively.

This is a concern but the extra immersion is worth it.
But so far I like the game so much I think I will likely replay it, and will use english VO then, just to catch up on anything I missed.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I've always found that, when reviewed by enough people and barring any review-bomb or meme shenanigans, it's a preeeeettty damn good metric for judging the quality of a game.

Watching the reviews and playthroughs so many things that would make me throw my controller, gonna wait for a few patches and see where they are with it in a few months.
