It's kinda sad that TNA just can't wait to grab a WWE castoff that was mid-card champ at best and possibly hot shot him to the title.

Well that's not true at all. If that's the vibe that post gave off, then I apologize. As seen with the whole dumb "hyperbole" thing yesterday, I just don't like the Internet culture in general, which includes radical opinions. I would never stir shit up for the sake of it, in fact I hate when that happens and try to avoid it. I just know that I lack the control to not get in dumb arguments over shit that I shouldn't, so sometimes I like to take a break. I only made that particular post as a way of giving a reason for my absence.

Like I said, if the impression you got from that was that I was seeking attention, that was not the intention at all and I apologize for that.

Also, random question: What ethnicity/race is Johnny B. Badd? For some reason I've always considered him a black dude and then during his match with Stunning Steve I was like "Wait. Is Johnny B. Badd not black?" This is very important. >_>

Oh, random note: Austin debuted a goatee in the aforementioned match. It was weird because I was just talking about imagining him making it big with his thinning blonde hair and wondering what it would've looked like on "Stone Cold". Well, now I kinda know.

Oh man EVERYONE says THE ECW for years. Even Paul and Joey. And all the WWF guys that came in with Hogan said THE WCW. Shit, that lasted even into the late 90s. Marc Mero is Jewish, I believe.

I'm pretty sure Marc Mero is Jewish and WCW kept Johnny B Badd ambiguous but it's so hard to say that he wasn't suppose to be a black character. He looked like Little Richard, his name was a Chuck Berry song, and he was managed by Teddy Long.

I just watched the Hardcore match and man, that wasn't very entertaining considering what it could've been. Will check out NXT after TNA's over tonight.

If I'm not mistaken, Mero said that he couldn't believe that no one got upset over a Jew from New York pretending to wrestle as a gay black man.

TNA tapings 9/18

* #1 contender Bobby Roode kicks off Impact and is interrupted by MVP, Kenny King and Bobby Lashley. Roode talks about facing Lashley next week and they attack him. Samoa Joe and Eric Young make the save, setting up a six-man match for later.

* Robbie E, Jessie Godderz and Velvet Sky defeated Knux, Crazzy Steve and Rebel.

* Kurt Angle comes out to a big pop and calls Ethan Carter III to the ring. They talk and Angle has a surprise in the form of Rhino vs. EC3 in a NYC Street Fight. This was another fun hardcore match. Ethan gets the win.

* All of the Knockouts are in the ring and Velvet Sky is announced as the cover girl for the next TNA calendar. Jessicka Havok interrupts and destroys Brittany and Gail Kim.

* Tajiri and Austin Aries vs. Sanada and James Storm is next. Sanada pins Tajiri to get the win for his team.

* Bram defeated Gunner. Samuel Shaw tried to interfere on Gunner's behalf but it backfired. Gunner and Shaw had words after the match and Gunner left on his own.

* Rockstar Spud defeated Crazzy Steve in a bad comedy match. Fans booed them. They chanted "we want wrestling" and "change the channel."

* The Wolves defeated The Hardys and Team 3D in a Ladder Match. Davey Richards grabbed the belts for the win. Each team has a win in the series now.

God how many hardcore matches with old ECW guys is TNA going to run in the same building? How many ECW guys do they have left that they could use? How the fuck is Tommy Dreamer getting another run on a nationally televised company in 2014?

It's marvelous to watch just how much Marc Mero got over with that gimmick in a southern wrestling promotion in the early to mid 90's.

Equally marvelous to watch just how bad he was in WWF. Did not get over at all, looked like he forgot how to wrestle.

Johnny B Badd has to be on the list of worst gimmicks ever. But also on the list of best used of eyeliner and blush ever.

Marc Mero was actually a legit boxer before he turned into a wrestler won the gold gloves in NY and I believe fought professionally. Rusev only has to look at Mero's WWF run to see his Future Endeavors because he is obviously going to get Sable'd sooner rather than later (probably sometime after his inevitable feud with Cena)
