The Bushwhackers and Hacksaw were over as fuck. It was a different time. There were no standards when a bulk of the crowd still thought it was 'real'

Also successful gimmicks. Santino had a successful gimmick. Brooklyn Brawler arguably had one too.

So apparently the feeling backstage in TNA right now is Dixie is going to sell a bulk of TNA to Spike. I hope it's true.

It's marvelous to watch just how much Marc Mero got over with that gimmick in a southern wrestling promotion in the early to mid 90's.

Equally marvelous to watch just how bad he was in WWF. Did not get over at all, looked like he forgot how to wrestle.

That's because he didn't know how to wrestle. He knew how to be Johnny B. Badd. When he couldn't be Johnny B. Badd, he had no idea what to do.

If Joe is gonna wrestle at this weight, he needs to adapt his moveset a little, atleast adopt a more big man moveset. Man ... no more jumping kicks that hit a guy in the middle of the back.

I really think Spike wanted to or wants to buy TNA outright so they don't have to deal with Dixie and Panda Energy. Spike has been footing the production bill and keeping the company afloat financially for so long now that they don't see a return on the investment unless they actually owned and operated the company themselves. Not to mention how horribly mismanaged TNA has been over the years.

They probably prefer situation similar to Bellator where Viacom owns the promotion. IN the end could would Viacom and Spike be willing to let TNA go so that they would be able to go out and start their own promotion (which seems like a money sink more so than TNA) or are they attempting to distance the channel from pro wrestling altogether.

They should only do such if they plan on competing directly with Daddy Mac.

Good match. I don't know how I feel as Joe as the champion. Who knows maybe he might try to look a little better. So far its been a meh episode of iMPACT wrestling.

If I watched Impact and assuming it stays afloat I would be counting down the weeks until "WHATS LORENZO DOS CARAS DOING IN THE IMPACT ZONE?!?!"

"Where were you when Dixie went through the table"

*if it, allegedly, happened, of course

Del Rio was actually good in the ring, they just never did anything with him otherwise.

From the 9/25 tapings:

Impact September 25th opening: MVP cut a promo saying Lashley was going to destroy Roode tonight. He then called out Chris Melendez, who he said was making headlines lately. They tried to recruit Melendez to be their bag carrier. He turned them down and King ripped him calling him "peg leg" and said he was going to teach him some respect. They have a match. Melendez pinned him with a sunset flip but was laid out. King. King said he was the star here not Melendez. He said Melendez was laying there just like he laid there when he had his leg blown off in Iraq. He said he wasn't a hero but a cripple and tried to remove his prosthetic leg. Mr. Anderson hit the ring for the save.

Man trying to get the heat

No more Dixie. That's good. She had gotten better, but still really didn't need to be on TV every week.

If TNA does get picked up by Spike, they'll probably move to either Tuesday or Wednesday if SD moves to Thursday. Bellator is on Fridays typically and they wouldn't want to go against SD, even for one hour. My guess would be Wednesday.
