So, about the little chat we had about Owens before RAW yesterday...
See, how a LOT of wrestlers have something right now. Orton has Lesnar, Balor has Rollins, Styles has Cena, Cesaro had a win over Sheamus, Zayn well, at least is the top jobber in a position where people can see him making it one day, Rusev has a feud against Reigns.. etc etc.. They are actually not doing a too bad job at giving everyone that counts something before summerslam, for once.
Owens ? In a joke team with 43yo Jericho to put Cass and Enzo over ? Not in a match in that RAW? And him not even mad at Zayn makes him look like he just lost any kind of ambition, character wise. Prize fighter my ass..
He's just not in the loop right now, something is off. Maybe they just want to sell the big loss, like he has to retreat a little now.. But yeah it doesn't sound good.

I honestly believe that they think some characters can survive any kind of push or program. I am all for him and Jericho. The promos alone will be worth it .

Owens and Jericho are so great together, I don't even mind.
I mean yeah it will be fun but i don't see how it can be good for Owens solo career. It will make him stagnate in the card and less of a legit single contender for sure. Except if they really go for a title or something but i doubt that... Actually the more they are over the more it will last, which is bad for him. We're looking at maybe a 6 month, who knows, one year break in his progression...
That was a really solid RAW
Loved the opening segment with Jericho, Banks, Charlotte and Enzo.

He's sub 6" and sub 200lbs. And sub 10% body fat.
That's what making this push of his so fascinating from a political standpoint, he's so out of sorts with what is usually a main eventer, even by 2016 WWE standards.

Isn't Enzo bigger than him? And Enzo's pretty much treated like Spike Dudley in his heyday in the ring.

I think it's fair to say that's the case on the mic. He's certainly coming off as rejuvenated and the time off probably did him some good.
Then again, he showed quite a bit of ring rust in his match against The Miz. Hopefully rust is all it was.

I'm only up to the Young/Titus match but I feel like this RAW is not quite as good as last week. I thought the Enzo/Jericho/Sasha/Charolette thing was pretty cheesy. Sasha again having trouble keep it together and flopping between laughing and boss. Anyone else catch Jericho stopping Charolette from interrupting? He's been great this year.
Rusev and Roman could be fun. That red vest though is terrible and I wish he'd go for something else, theme too.
I'm fully anticipating a Braun/Cass feud coming down the line. Fans are totally not buying into Braun though
Seth and Balor has me excited. The way both are being handled is just feeling right.
I hate Titus. That thing he does in the corner is terrible. And he went after Backlund so screw that guy.

My only takeaway from Raw is that Rusev/Reigns could be a fun sorta hoss brawl.

Enzo and Finn are the same height or there's less than an inch difference. The only guys on the roster shorter than them are Neville, Gable, and the Revival.
Both of their charisma levels are top tier, however, and thus it doesn't even come close to mattering.

I can easily understand them creating new Tag Team belts, but justifying a second Women's belt is going to be rough. There aren't enough Women on the roster, and what are you going to call it?
The best scenario I can come up with is that they just call up whoever is the NXT Women's champion (Bayley/Asuka/whoever), and say "you are a champion, but the NXT belt can't be on the main roster, so we are creating a new belt and awarding it to you"
The report I read made it sound purposely vague, like they didn't say which title it was for.
That's what I thought. They will probably give him a shot against Rusev.
I think he's charismatic in the ring, if that makes sense
Like, he has a good presence when he's wrestling

Gotta give props to the production crew for not fucking up that RKO. I was shocked ot not see a camera panning in on Orton 50 feet from the ring with the announcers blowing it up.
Same. I was surprised by just how well those two worked together.

So apparently some insider is saying that the raw belt will have the same design as the belt Dean has but it will be a belt with a red bg and red swoosh. Sds belt will be changed to one with a blue bg and blue swoosh.

To be honest, this seems like the best realistic idea.
This Oprah "everyone gets a belt" stuff killed the meaning for any of the titles last time and it will do it this time.

Yeah, it always becomes an issue when you have both brands on a single PPV. When titles start going over others on the card people read it into it.
