August Wrasslin' |OT| Make a.. make a good...uh...a good wrestling thread

This is the most lazy thing ever, but also the best way of doing two belts without it being terribly confusing.

To be honest, this seems like the best realistic idea.

Also makes the artwork easy for the inevitable return of:

I jokingly said they'd probably do the same design with different colours two weeks ago. I need to stfu but Alvarez is saying it will be a different design. I hope he's right for once.

Someone mentioned Wrestling games earlier, and I have to say that I hate that the Smackdown style of reversal and finisher spam became the mainstay of Wrestling games over the much superior AKI style. To be fair, it is more like what most big matches in the WWE end up like but man is it played out at this point.

Oh and btw, when did Orton get a personality? His moves were always a little to basic save for a few examples but they were never the real problem I had with him, it was always just how bland and boring he is. Let's hope he keeps it going.

When you have a brand split, it would be fucking IDIOTIC to only have one major title. That would force one show to be fighting over scraps and you do not have THE CHAMPION on that brand's shows. Anyone who wants just one title isn't capable of looking at the bigger picture. You absolutely MUST have separate titles. Absolutely.

Yeah, at the end of the day its a fake sport and people are competing for the championship. If you don't have appropriate titles, then why are these people fighting? I keep asking this on Smackdown with regards to women and tag teams. If you can't be the champ, then what are you fighting for?

24/7 WWE Network Title should have been a thing two years ago.

I don't think It needs to be 24/7 but a Network title might be fun. Matches you can only see on the Network, sure the holder can bring it to the ring for RAW/SD but it's matches only are broadcast on the network.

It's not a bad idea at all.

So apparently some insider is saying that the raw belt will have the same design as the belt Dean has but it will be a belt with a red bg and red swoosh. Sds belt will be changed to one with a blue bg and blue swoosh.
So the raw belt is gonna look like the women's title lol

Back in my day, they used to make shit up. Dude hits on another guy's wife, so they fight. Guy used to police brutality an inmate, so when the inmate gets out, he fights the officer. Dickhead model sprays a guy and makes him blind, they have a blindfold match.
Royalty looks down on a trashman, so they have a match on behalf of the blue collar man.

and so on

You crushed my throat with the ring bell and I overcame this set back and took your precious title as retribution.

Or

I shat in your bag.

Eddie won a women's heart. He made her believe. He was European by way of Mexico, Texas.

I don't think there was a single aspect of Eddie's character during his WWF years that I liked. In-ring he was a-ok, but give him a mic and I'm out.

Aiii

So not worth it

Mweh, you don't have to be from the US to hold the US title, after all. Nitpicking that the European title wasn't held by Europeans exclusively is a bit useless. It's a belt that represents the continent, but not necessarily the nationality of the holder, that's fine.

Bingo. They had two singles titles back in the early 90s and yet every match on the card had a reason for happening.

Or how about you just try to elevate the current mid-card titles and make them more valuable since they become the exclusive titles for each show, and allow the World Champ to float between shows. Congrats, you've just made everything more valuable.

I swear, it's like everyone completely forgot how shitty and worthless titles were in the last brand split.

Fans cant handle stories anymore apparently. You saw posters in here freaking out when Jericho and Owens came out last night. They couldnt even wait one match to see how things progressed, they couldnt process a wrestler doing anything other than ebing involved in a binary feud.

Why can't you just have the single champion appear on both brands?
Same with the tag champs and women's champ?

When you have the belt, you can appear on both brands, once you lose it, you return to your home brand. An extra perk of being champ, but also more work.

Everyone having a belt means no one is a champion.

Yep and if it turns out to be great it then gets labelled as something "that should have been saved for Wrestlemania"

WWE announce matches a month in advance now, they don't build, they create then phone it in as to why you're supposed to care.

Yeah, that's what I've proposed too regarding the championships. One champion (World, Tag, & Women's) to float between brands. Keep the IC and US exclusive to RAW and SD.

The championship titles will have more meaning and it will become a big deal if the champ comes to that brand.

Mid Cards and lower cards fight for the IC and US titles in their respective brands. If no belt is involved, have stories lines (silly or serious) for the wrestlers to keep fans interested.

I think everyone should have a belt. It's like a helmet in American football. Everyone gets one. But the best wrestlers get more decals. Like, look at this Ohio State helmet:

This is a lower mid-carder if I've ever seen one. Come on, buddy. Step it up.

Wow! Look at this star! He must've beat a lot of guys and cut a lot of effective promos!

See? It totally works. #BeltsForAll
