August Wrasslin' |OT| Make a.. make a good...uh...a good wrestling thread

Fucked up of you to imply Blue is on roids tbh. What's next, saying friend Zach is on roids?

I mean, I know being on drugs would probably help to deal with Mania 2000 but still!
I guess the pain killers and muscle relaxers helped me get through that ppv. Because we were definitely on them during that point.
So, say you or someone you were married to worked for Bioware Austin and you/they are moving to a new office building. What would you expect to find in the offices of the company that runs a Star Wars MMO on moving day?

Of course, you'd expect to find a bunch of Acclaim WWF games from the late 90s and a corporate report on the reviews for one of them. In Your House for Sega Saturn! What?

This thick ass report is basically a print out of every review this Acclaim jabroni could find, with a short summary of what's good/bad about Warzone in the beginning. I don't know the chemistry of 18 year old toner, but the way the it had fused the pages together I think it's possible this report has never been read before. And who could blame everyone?

I took a look at the summaries and there's some funny stuff there:

GOOD:

BAD:
I'll pay you to get me a copy of that entire report.

You really don't want it, it is literally just printouts of websites.

I used to work for Acclaim many years ago.

And, go figure, I also received an angry phone call from an Acclaim public relations representative concerning a low score for a review I wrote for Legends of Wrestling II.

It's only for WWF Warzone. This was compiled during WWF Attitude's development. The summary mentions what they should put in WWF Attitude based on the reviews, but that's it.
The cool thing is, Attitude improved so much and it was truly a sequel. More characters, more moves, more play types, better story, more creativity, etc. I can't recall how the fps were as I've never taken notice to that unless it slows all the way day. I can't remember anything about the cage match or Taker or Kane lifting up. But some of the features are still yet be seen by any game. It took what ten years to get create a venue back, come on? How hard was that?

I don't think a Cruiserweight Division makes a lick of sense to begin with. Kayfabe has been dead for decades, so I don't really see the purpose of splitting up "heavyweights" and non-"heavyweights" when you already have guys like Finn Balor beating up Roman Reigns who outweighs him by like 40 pounds.

I say run the Cruiserweight Division for a year or so to showcase the new lower-weight guys, then merge the two 'rosters' to show what they can do against beefcakes.

At least they've lowered the max. weight. It's still comical that they're selling guys like Alejandro Saez and Cedric Alexander as 'Cruiserweights' when Finn Bálor is beating Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns.

They made Cedric Alexander legitimately lose 25 pounds to make the show. Dude was wrestling at 225 before the show.

It's going to be random as fuck if the guy shows up in NXT as "CWC VETERAN CEDRIC ALEXANDER!"

I just noticed that I've never seen John Cena with a beard or even a 5 o'clock shadow. Dude is a true professional.

It's not just a face thing. Dude has no body hair whatsoever other than his crew cut. Notice the completely hairless legs, pits, arms, etc.

I'm watching streams of No Man's Sky. Damn this game is pretty. I can see how some might be bored by just exploration and such, but that is my cup o' tea. 5 days.

I had a door-to-door window salesman really push his luck one day. After saying "no thanks" very politely three times ("it's not on our list of things to do at this moment in time"), he kept on pushing - so I took a few steps out onto the path, got relatively close to his face and asked him to get off my property. He eventually got the hint. Twat.

(Now I just say "it's a rented house" - they always leave.)
This is a great post 👏👏👏

He's learned very well

Noam Dar was inspired to wrestle when he saw Brock Lesnar wrestle on Smackdown 12 years ago.

This kid was inspired to wrestle by the ruthless aggression era.

John Cena, AJ Styles, Erick Rowan, The Usos, and Apollo Crews will miss next Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live due to the tour of New Zealand and Australia that starts next Wednesday. Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt is being advertised for the dark match for Tuesday’s SmackDown Live.

It wouldn’t shock me if they had a couple of Raw stars on the show next week.

WWE will be touring the following cities in New Zealand and Australia:

Auckland, New Zealand on 8/10
Melbourne, Australia on 8/11
Hindmarsh, Australia on 8/12
Sydney, Australia on 8/13

Here’s the card for the shows in Australia and New Zealand. The line-ups are identical for all of the shows:

Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins
John Cena vs AJ Styles
Finn Balor vs Chris Jericho
WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day vs Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan
Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens
United States Championship Match: Titus O’Neil vs Rusev w/Lana
The Usos vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson
Sasha Banks vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke
Apollo Crews vs Sheamus

I thought the Ruthless Aggression era was well liked why would that make his wrestling bad? Or was it like Attitude where people remember the characters and not the bad wrestling?

i want Tana vs Naito in the final

The dumb decision to put the title back on Okada so Naito could get it back should have been Tanahashi taking it from Naito instead. The Ace of the Universe having another trick up his sleeve while Naito was too busy gloating over beating Okada, Tanahashi could have outsmarted him and stole it then if they had to take the title off Naito, Naito wins G1 and makes Tanahashi the center of his LIJ lifestyle instead of Okada.
