This is why Sasha was hugging Bayley after their match Saturday, because above all else, they're trying to change what it means to be women wrestler's in WWE. That's literally the angle. It's been spelled out every week for a month or two now.

They're doing that by having the same tag matches over and over?

You know what the angles that got the women over as a main part of NXT were about? Not "changing the perceptions of women's wrestling". Instead they had actual angles and characters that led to the perception changing.

Paige saying "We're doing a revolution" and having 15 tag matches in a row isn't going to lead to the reaction Bayley got for winning the title after a long, storied journey.

Having legit wrestlers like Fox and Charlotte is part of the equation, but you have to have interesting characters and storylines. So far they are failing at that. So far they haven't really changed the problem Diva's wrestling has always had: That all women can do is act sexy and/or catty. That's pretty much all they are still doing.

The only weak member of the 9 divas is Tamina, who has barely wrestled in the 5 years she's been with WWE. Man, crazy me thinking those women are putting on solid matches and reeducating the Raw audience. Honestly i wish the women's division would stay exclusive to NXT. They will never, EVER get the time nor creative they deserve while Vince and his henchmen are still around. It's a winless battle at this point.

Inventing opinions I don't have isn't making the Divas angle any better. I'm not going to pretend the angle is good, because I've seen actually good angles and matches in women's wrestling, and this isn't it.

The angle annoys me because this was supposed to be their big chance to change the perception, and they're blowing it. I have wanted good women's wrestling in WWE for as long as I've watched it, and instead seen bullshit catfights, patronizing gimmicks and angles, marginalized talent and terrible examples set for their audience. They manage to do something good for the women in NXT, where they're treated as a real part of the show, not some joke, and that's what I want to see.

This is part of the problem in front of smark crowds now. You're selling this whole thing as a revolution while giving them shit tag matches and shit segments while these same people see Sasha Banks and Bayley put on a MOTY candidate two nights before.

It's going to cause backlash because these people know damn well this isn't a revolution.

Catching up on NXT Takeover. God damn that Bayley/Sasha match was amazing. Probably the best Women's match I've ever seen.
